For a myriad of reasons that isn't necessarily related to guilt, homeboy could be depressed. That could lead to overeating.

Beat me to it.  My first thought was depression and stress.

Its going to be interesting how the draft plays out.

Or, maybe, just maybe, he's going through a lot of mental stress right now bc he was involved in an incident where two of his friends DIED, going through combine workouts which are the most important thing he's ever done in his life/career, and has to defend & read ******** like this on a daily basis. He's a young kin coming out of school who has been on the top of the world for the last two years in a row. The man also weighs 330 lbs+, like 9lbs is literally 3% of his body weight. Most people fluctuate 3-6 lbs per day, and that's an average person. I think the cardio conditioning aspect is a larger flag than the weight, and his mental toughness. Probably why Kirby Smart literally commented on his mental toughness.

Not trying to be an apologist for him bc I think the circumstances around the crash are pretty F-d up, but the man has talent for sure and will be a difference maker on the team he lands on.

you dont think knowing his teammate died in a wreck has something to do with that? so one workout in a t shirt and shorts is gonna trump over actual game tape?

If he can't get thru a workout how's he gonna get thru an NFL training camp? How about a game? All that tape you speak of was before this wreck that you are saying is affecting him.

Kirby smart was his coach he is going to go to bat for him in the public eye no matter what he truly feels.

Todd Mcshay has no ties to Carter and will tell it how it is.

i believe a HC that actually sees that player everyday over todd “mock draft“ mcshay 😂

The wreck could have nothing to do with it.  Lots of players have lost motivation once they think they've made it or once they get away from the Saban's and Kirby's of the world.  They usually don't do so well in the NFL.

I don't even care about the football stuff. I care about the fact that he was doing over 100 mph weaving in and out of traffic and could just as easily be the one dead. Some of y'all likely had family on the road that night. How would you feel if he crashed into one of them street racing?

He was literally warned to slow down by cops not two months earlier so he clearly didn't learn from his first mistake. That is a pattern.

There were doubts about his motor and work ethic at Georgia.  Not a good look to dispel those rumors.  He should have used the off season up to this point to prove the doubters wrong on those issues.

why would he lose motivation? bro just saying anything when it’s obvious the reason could be the wreck. having to go to the police, having to make a statement, dealing with grief. so many factors that could affect him. im looking at tape over 1 workout in shorts and a t shirt

As someone who has been a fan of bama during their run as the greatest college football dynasty in history.  There were players that I thought were going to dominate the NFL and they had the tape to back it up...but they just didn't.  Like I said, I think for some of these players once they get away from the infrastructure that coaches like Saban and Kirby provide they can't hold themselves accountable.  It's happened to so many.

You mean the one linked? Yea, sure have. He looks like he's not even trying during the most important interview he will ever have.

Ohhhh I thought you were talking about the security cams allegedly putting him at the scene of the crime.

My bad. Carry on.

Nobody knows...that's why you don't spend a top 10 pick on "what if".
