He probably shouldn’t have worked out if he wasn’t ready. I will tell you this - in a 10-12 yr NFL career, that one NFL workout is not gonna matter. Could it affect his draft slot? Sure…Will it affect his career? Hate to be that guy but where you are selected 100% affects your career. If a guy can't get in shape for a pro day before he's made a cent, what do you expect him to do once he signs his first contract. Massive red flag. Maybe he turns out fine but he's become a really scary prospect. Sorry. I never said they were the same, you said it was breaking the law and endangering / could have killed people... speed limits exist to prevent that. So yes, the same logic applies. Is it as likely to happen if going 5 over? No, but the law is the law.

I draft him after #20, wouldn't touch him with the 8th pick. Absolutely correct 100%.... Unfortunately the Georgia fanatics are not going to like it though... I can guarantee you Atlanta won't touch this guy... Imagine what kind of story it'll be if this guy bombs out like I think he will after us picking him at number 8.... I know it's hard to believe but Gazoo is more than likely right here. More than likely right that Falcons don’t draft him? Of course they might not draft him - most NFL teams “might not”. Before, the Falcons “might not” because Jalen Carter would be gone way before #8 - now, he might be there and Falcons “ might not” draft him. Gazoo doesn’t know I don’t know. No one outside of TF/AS/KS/AB have much insight there. The talent is there - if JC88 is available at #8, he will be the most talented prospect available. Fontenot will do his research and decide on him. Tim Mazetti

Artys Arryn
I'll go on record and say I'm still down with Carter at 8. Could it blow up in our face? If course it could. But I can't discredit what he put on tape because of a bad pro day. Orlando Brown Jr had the worst combine I can remember and today had the largest signing bonus of any OL ever. Carter has some issues but if our FO thinks he can overcome them, I'm 100% on board. RetroRoq and g-dawg
MoundBred
There's a difference between being LAZY & being OUT OF SHAPE. Y'all are wild. If you want to talk about the character concerns and decision making that's cool & justifiable, but we're not about to pretend like this guy isn't a generational talent. He's an absolute monster on the field. The question is can you trust him and when is the investment worth drafting him. If you think you can't trust him and want to pass on him for that reason that's perfectly understandable. But acting like this man has poor work ethic is crazy. He's going through some things and he's clearly struggling with it all. But you don't get as good as him by having a bad work ethic. And you all seem to need to be reminded, dude has the best 2 seasons we've ever seen from a DT and he did it in the SEC. It matter what TF wants to see, and he wants to see guys that give it 100% all the time, practice, off-season, preseason, and regular season. He wants 100% effort at all times. So, if these are just rumors that he has to be pushed and whatever is going on with him right now is not considered a red flag, he’ll be in the hunt. If they see red flags and are concerned about his effort at times, he won’t fit the culture we are breeding here. Why do you think so many fans who thought we’d be lucky to win 2 games last year were excited to watch this team play hard all 4 quarters regardless of the score? We all love that. And you won’t be here if you don’t give it everything you’ve got all the time. Us fans don’t know the whole story on him, but I guaranty you TF does. So you have absolutely nothing to worry your little head about if he’s everything you claim him to be. I don’t claim to know.
