POLL - What has been the best thing so far this week for the Falcons?

The combination of everything that has happened this week has certainly been great for the Falcons but what seems like the best thing that has happened?

Of course, there might be another move or two still upcoming but this is as of today and also does not include anything that happened before this week started.

I also thought about listing things that have happened to our rivals (Saints losing lots of players, etc.) but this is intended as best for the Falcons directly.

I voted Bates.  Mostly because I think he upgrades that side of the ball more than any other player we acquired.

I would have voted Lindstrom otherwise, but he wasn't going anywhere, so basically his re-signing doesn't move the needle immediately.  I think locking him up long term is the best future move we made this week, though.

I voted Lindstrom because it feels nice to have that spot solidified for the next 5 years.

Overall,  I think we got or retained key pieces without overpaying,  while hurting the Saints in the process

I picked Bates but honestly I wanted to pick him and Lindstrom. The Falcons have done a lot of good things and the team is definitely heading in the right direction. Just don't forget to do this to the former Aints.

As far as new players, Bates.

But the fact that we got McGary for just $11MM/year is fantastic.  I was fine moving on from him because I thought he'd get like $16MM.

I went with other. To me, the best part is seeing their patience and the plan unfold. Very keen work from the front office.

Overall upgrade of the roster.

filling holes at all levels (that’s what she said)

Value and not overpaying, including Lindstrom contract.  It was top dollar, but still good value based on age, performance, etc.

I would have left Lindstrom out of poll because he was no brainer. Everyone knew the Falcons were going to resign him sooner or later. It just happened to be sooner.
