TheRisen999
Like I said.. lies and garbage Michael Rothstein @mikerothstein Also in regard to this, a source tells me that those rumors of meetings in Indianapolis between the Falcons and Ravens about Lamar Jackson were false. No meetings occurred about Jackson between the two clubs. Dianna Russini @diannaESPN-26m The Atlanta Falcons will not be pursuing QB Lamar Jackson, per sources. ATLFalcon36
Good. This regime is showing discipline where dimitroff woulda signed him to record money for a RT. If we're gonna spend big on a tackle it needs to be one with a balanced skillset that can protect QB and doesn't suck outside of contract years Freddies 3rd Cuz, TheRisen999 and Herr Doktor 1

Williamb
I'm all in on drafting one of the elite ol, I would prefer him to be versatile enough to play lg while we keep mcgary for another year or two. Everyone talks up skoronski but isn't his biggest weakness arm length? I thought I read that in his draft profile.

Taking an OT to play OG at #8 is a bit of a "reach" by some, but if it improves the run game aka takes pressure off the QB then I would be down. TBH tho I can't imagine us taking Skoronski at 8 with the idea that he plays OG. Tim Mazetti

May still sign McGary, they may have told him to see what he get on the open market and see if he can find a better deal May not be able to. Think the idea is that the OT at 8 plays guard for a couple of years, and then takes over for McGary or Matthews. Tim Mazetti

Dewand Jones is 6’8 and came in at 374 lbs at the combine. I have to wonder if this is AS getting a redo on drafting UGA’s Wilson a few years ago. Just seem to remember reading that 1 of the big 3 sko/johnson/ jones played inside for portions of their career. None of these guys are rt either I don't think ( may be wrong though). We have cap space, and that’s a major position, especially with a young QB that needs protection. Not sure what TF is thinking with this one. It’s possible they have already been discussing an extension and media mouths don’t know anything about it, so they speculate. It’s also possible Falcons have a plan we don’t know about. Falcons_Frenzy
Why the f*$k would anyone want to give LJ what he's asking for? Stats declining, always injured, selfish, 1 playoff win in 5 years, and inaccurate. You give a contract like that to a Mahomes, not a wannabe Vick. Let McGary test the market and if some foolish team overpays for his services kudos to them. Good luck. It's time the Falcons stopped paying too much for players who don't live up to the contracts signed. He’s a TD guy, he under performed for 3 years. AS has set a protocol that nobody is guaranteed a job. You gotta earn it. There are some good FA’s available that may be an upgrade, so why pay a guy you have questions about? If you are gonna build a great team, you have to avoid keeping and overpaying good guys, when you can replace them for a bit more $$ with great guys. Now we have to assume and trust TF and staff can pluck those great guys out of the crowd…and they jury is still out on that.

Whomever signs him will have to budget for 2 QB’s. Glad Falcons are out of that rumor. TheRisen999 and Falcons_Frenzy

They could draft a guy, but drafting a guy into an open roster spot is something that feels more like DT would do than TF. Regardless, he'll probably get better from the market, so it will be interesting to see how the FO handles RT. TD would give him $18M Per and start regretting it around week 4 of this year but be stuck w/ him for the next four years.
