autigerfan
1 - Devon Witherspoon, CB Illinois - Having another elite corner would give us our best secondary since I've been a fan. It should not only aid in coverage but also help upgrade our passrush. Long-term in Spoon hits this also gives us leverage in negotiations with AJ. 2 - Andre Carter II, Edge Army - He had elite production in 2021 and has the physical skill set to develop into a dominant pass rusher. Outside of Will Anderson, it doesn't look like there are many sack artists in the first round but Andre could be a nice project for Nielsen to take on. 3 - Sydney Brown, S Illinois - Has a nose for the ball and would add to the secondary depth with the potential to be a year 1 starter. 4 - Parker Washington, WR Penn State - Program with a history of developing capable receivers. He could even become more of a hybrid WR/RB with his frame. 4 - Colby Wooden, Edge Auburn - Probably won't ever be a #1 pass rusher but has the size and technique to be a nice complementary rusher. 5 - Jalen Moreno-Cropper, WR Fresno State - He would initially come in to fill the role of OZ but could be a serviceable #2 or #3 receiver. 7 - Stetson Bennett, QB Georgia - Bennett is probably maxed out as a player but I think he could have a 10 year career as a backup ala Chase Daniel. In the 7th round why not? 7 - John Ojukwu, T Boise State - Experienced player with good size but a little older than you would like. Potential to be a swing tackle or move inside to guard down the line. PokerSteve
I like your draft. Witherspoon is a great start to whoever you're going to mock. lol. I'm also fine with Stetson Bennet. I have no idea how he would do, but I have noticed he has gotten pretty far despite not having a single coach, scout or GM offer even the faintest hint of praise for his capabilities. Oh and in the second round, in case no one has mentioned it, go with Keion White instead of Carter. 😆 autigerfan

Killing Floor
Good list. I don’t know the deferment rule for Army but still, good list. autigerfan

Surprised an Auburn guy has Red colored glasses on! Lol But I have been saying, no way is Stetson getting drafted in the 7th(and probably not the 6th either). If he is still on the board after the 5th, I am sure there will be or already has been that he doesn’t want to sign that low and would prefer to pick his landing spot. As of Dec 2019 presidential order, they can have service deferred by the Secretary of Defense. They still have an 8 year military obligation, but it can be served in various forms with 6 years in the Reserves. Joe Cardona was drafted in 2015 and has been the Patriots long snapper every since he was drafted. As of 2019, it's even easier. Still a pretty rare thing. There's actually a lot of very famous and SB winning and HOF players (Staubach I believe was one). Somewhat off topic, but funny, Edgar Allen Poe attended West Point and was subsequently court-martialed before he ever graduated. Long story short, he was supposed to draw a design of a bridge and he added kids on the bridge. They told him to redo the assignment without kids on the bridge, so he drew their graves on the bank of the river under the bridge. 🤣🤣🤣 He was eventually expelled (or he quit to do other things he liked more until he was court-martialled). I've had Soldiers on Olympic teams and a Miss America winner, and they are assigned to the Reserves and we rarely see them. They're required to perform so many UTAs (unit training assemblies), but can do them outside of their training times for their sport/event. They could perform all their yearly reserve service obligation in about a month or slightly longer. Again, it's rare, but becoming easier and easier. My units gained more notoriety having Olympic Athletes performing recruiting duties than performing their military obligations. 1989Fan
As a Penn Stater I am a fan of Parker Washington, that said he should have gone back to school and played a full season to raise his stock. He isn’t the explosive playmaker that Jahan Dotson or KJ Hamler was though. He should make a nice a lot receiver for someone though.

I'm from GA so nothing really against the DAWGS unless we're playing them. Beats BAMA fans any day. Plus it's hard not to root for a guy like Stetson. thanat0s
I like Witherspoon. If Carter doesn't slip to us, then we'd be very lucky to get him. I find this draft class to be very under-par, so everybody outside round one to me is plain oatmeal.
