If we have a very productive FA period, and Will Anderson falls to #3 in the draft....

Bates, Tomlinson, and Edwards is a good starting point. Don’t see us paying Juju the kind of money he’s gonna get though and we shouldn’t.

Spotrac market values for each are… Bates ($14 million), (Edwards ($11.9 million), and Tomlinson ($8.5 million). 3 solid additions and we only spend $34.4 million. If we cut Hayward, it saves $5 million and puts us at $71.7 million in cap space. Idk if we are even thinking about it or not, but that’s another move we could make to save some money

Trading up to 3rd from 8th for the top player in the draft who also happens to be at our top position of need (pass rush)... as much as I don't like giving up draft capital, I would pull the trigger on that one.  Would TF and AS do so?  I'm not sure though.

If you trade up to three it would be for a QB.

Say in FA we got something like the following

FS -Jessie Bates

DT -Dalvin Tomlinson or Javon Hargrave

LB - TJ Edwards

WR - JuJu

Would you want to make the move?

I almost never want to trade up, but I'd trade up for Will Anderson.

I actually wouldn't. I would rather draft Murphy or Wilson (one of the two very likely will be there) than give up a bunch of picks for Anderson.

I certainly understand the rationale if you're that high on those players. I just want the **** pass rush fixed and right now he looks like the best pass rushing prospect in my uninformed opinion.

He definitely is but I don't think he's a Khalil Mack or Nick Bosa type special talent...if he were, the Bears would simply just take him 1st overall.

He has been more reliably productive than most of the top pass rushers in the NFL were in college. And he was getting doubled the whole way through this year.
