More like welcome home. Can't wait to see what Snyder does with this team. He's got more talent in the A than he ever did at Utah, especially on offense. In Utah it was just Mitchell and Mike Conley briefly. In ATL he's got what arguably the best backcourt in the Eastern Conference, JC, Hunter, Bogi, and shooters galore.

He was able to get a group of roleplayers for the most part to compete in the West, kinda like what Budenholzer did for ATL. Let's see what he does with a group that has a lot of dormant (and not so dormant) starpower.

Hopefully this really kicks off a big rivalry between Hawks and Bucks.

Yep. Hopefully Trae can be to him what Giannis was to Bud. Both Giannis and Bud had a lot of skeptics before they got over the hump two years ago. They needed each other, and I think the same may be true for Trae and Quin in our case.

Yup. I'm hoping, believing, that Quin will have a similar effect on the Hawks and Trae that Steve Kerr had on GSW and Steph Curry, and Bud on the Bucks and Giannis.

Realistically, the Hawks have 10 above-average NBA players, eight at an absolute minimum. It's a team that has woefully underachieved and needs the leadership of an excellent coach.

I know things never work out like we as fans expect, but I have to say -- this team has talent.  If Snyder can coach at all, and I think he can, he can elevate this franchise.  If he elevates the franchise, guys like Murray will want to stay and others will want to come and be a part of it.

If Nate can take this group to the Conference finals, there is no reason much better coaching shouldn't put us in contention most seasons. And I'm all about the "you have to be in it to win it" mentality.  Build a consistent winner, and then a championship is a lot more likely.

We have just as many above players as anybody else in the league, give or take one.

That has been the most frustrating part.

The part that kills me is the group that thinks he is a saint that doesn’t use.. language lol

Talk about profanity. First Hawks game I saw in person was coached by Hubie Brown OMG every other word was the F bomb or some variation.  But the Hawks played well and won the game.

That reminds me of my YBOA days when there was a coach, very nice guy, who just had a natural vocabulary of filth.

It didn’t matter whether happy or pissed it still came out the same! Lmao

I thought the presser was good, but obviously full of coach speak.

It's hard to describe what's about to happen, in his defense.  There's only so many ways to say "I can't really do anything but keep my hand on the till this season and install what I can as we go along."  But that's what's going on.  He's going to utilize what we're doing now and start to introduce culture and principles.  Snyder is a PnR guy, and his defense sort of centers around that as well.  I think he'll be able to do some of what he likes with the current guys and the current scheme, but next season is when he's going to have a freer hand.  Right now, he's just going to get them used to a winning mindset and the sort of philosophical approach he takes to the game.  They aren't going to stop the season for a few weeks to get them up to speed on what he prefers to do.
