Title is the question.  Would you prefer have the team sign  a high end WR 2 or TE 2?

In intrigued by the Idea of getting a Top tier TE2 either in the draft or FA. Preferable a all around pass catcher and blocker and run like Zaccheus as the WR2.

To be able to go 12 personel and be able to move Pitts around in a no huddle situation would be beneficial as he can be inline out wide or even in the slot and Zacheus can also play out wide or in slot. Would let AS be creative but also be in good run personel in case the defense shows a light box.

Wr2. Need speed to create space underneath for Pitts and London.

Right now we stress the defense for about 15 yards down the field.

Feels like you'd be using Pitts as a normal TE there though and he's not a normal tight end and/or used as such when used correctly. Still agree with the general premise though

I'd use him more as a giant slot receiver where he will be too big for a nickel Cb and too fast for a cover lb.

Fast wr2 clears out the extra safety leaving 1 on 1s for one of them

It's an intriguing question with Arthur running an offense the way he does but my initial thought is I'd rather have a top end WR2. Feels like it'd open up more options on offense and especially if they can find the right kind of top end WR2.

That's fair. In my mind being able to have Pitts play the Wr in some situations would work especially in the slot. But he could also run decoy routes as he's fast enough to clear out safties deep and let drake Zachhues and the TE work the 20 yards and inward routes at times.

That's generally the crux of my first argument. I just think Pitts could be used to clear out space underneath. Dude has 4.4 speed. A true burner would be a nice piece to add to the mix.

Well obviously that is an option as well for when we are taking deep shots and whatnot. We just don't have a speed aspect on offense right now at any level. We need a speed RB too.

WR between those 2 options. Art Smith doesn’t get tight ends and I’d rather take a flyer on a true receiver. If we want a B- blocker we can draft one late or catch a fading vet.

Fitz and Hesse are signed.  So we have two blockers.  Throw in Pruitt who is more versatile, and we have a decent TE group.

4.4 speed and massive wings. And still beating the drum, He has more yards per touch than Kelce. Not because he’s lucky but because he has the physical attributes to be better. Fingers crossed we unlock his handcuffs next season.  Wins waiting to be celebrated.

We need a WR way more than a TE. We have decent TE depth already on the roster with Hesse and Pruitt. If we roll into next year with OZ as our #2 then just give up already. He shouldn't be more than a 4.

OZ was cooking before Pitts went down. After that, he couldn't beat one on one coverage. He's a third WR at best. That's why we need a legit WR#2.

Not sure I'd even say that. His best game of the season by far was the week after Pitts went to IR. I'd argue it was his only good game of the season. He seemed better early because Mariota only threw the ball to him twice a game and he caught them both. Once he started getting more targets he showed he's not up to be a featured part of the offense. Reminds me of Harry Douglass but honestly not nearly as good.
