K26dp
The order matters less than who gets the most ABs in a game and over the course of a season. Acuna, Olson, Riley, and Murphy are the four best hitters on the team (at least until MH3 proves himself over a full season). They should be in the top 4 spots in some order. Unknøwn
It's one start in February. I wouldn't put any stock into it. Not ideal but hes gotta keep working on that slider.

He's definitely been figured out and I'm not talking about today. I remember back in 2021 asking why he isn't working on a 3rd pitch. Hopefully he figures it out, he seems like a hard worker and is younger than I thought so still hope.

The slider he's working on got good reviews during live BP. He just didn't have it today in his first chance to throw it in a game. One of the reporters mentioned it was registering as a curve on statcast. He also hung one for a HR. Just going to be a work it out thing
Unknøwn
First round of cuts Tromp has to report to his WBC camp on Friday so the Braves go ahead and make that move. Acuna and Rosario report to their WBC camps on Monday.

Unknøwn
Albies spoke with Jayson Stark of The Athletic. He said the Braves plan to run wild. “I think it’s gonna be an awesome year,” he began. “It’s gonna be a lot more running game for sure.” So does that fit into his team’s plans? Albies smiled. “Yes,” he said, “because we have a lot of speed runners in our lineup that can easily get 20 to 25 bags a year. Why not?” So let’s start with Acuña. What is he capable of? “He can easily get 40 to 50 bags by himself,” Albies said matter of factly. “I’ll take 30-30,” he said. “But my goal is to go 40-40.” Then what, we asked, was Harris going to do? For the record, he had 19 homers and 20 steals last year as a rookie, or 24/31 if you include his 43 games in the minor leagues. So is he headed for 30-30? "40-40,” Albies retorted confidently ATL Fan in the DMV

K26dp
7 hours ago, jidady said: Sometimes, late at night, I just stare at my walls and wonder: Which contract was the worst of Dan Uggla, Chris Johnson, and BJ Upton? 1. Upton, for the reasons UnknOwn mentioned, but also because looking at his underlying numbers his last couple years at Tampa and there was already something wrong with him. While no one could have foreseen a drop off *that* bad, a drop off was predictable. I once got yelled at by DOB on Twitter by openly wondering why the Braves paid Upton a huge contact when they just traded a better player Yunel Escobar. 2. Johnson, because anyone with eyes could see that his big season was a BaBIP-created mirage and he was also kind of a jerk. 3. Uggla, because while warning signs were there, second base was kind of a hole, the team needed power in the line-up, and it freed up Martin Prado to play other positions. I also think a lot of his latter issues were due to botched laser eye surgery, and that can't be predicted. dmite, ATL Fan in the DMV, jidady and 1 other
