Falcons wanted to talk to him for the OC job under Quinn, only to be denied and the Falcons got the return of Koetter. Kubiak and Broncos parted ways soon after and then he went to the Vikings. opensource001
So do you think the new owners of the Broncos are contractually obligated to mess with the Falcons or is this just a little thank you from the new owners to the old owners?
DonDaLuvMaker
37 minutes ago, Califalcon0013 said: Nope they waited to see if Sean Peyton works want to keep him It was reported about a month or so ago that Payton already had his possible coaching staff already planned out. Vic Fangio went to the Dolphins because he knew Payton was going to Denver. They let Evero go as soon as they secured Payton and was hired, but they said that they wanted Payton all along(despite what DeMeco Ryans and his agent said) and Payton wanted to work with fixing Russell Wilson. They could've still allowed Evero to interview with Falcons just in case they didn't keep him. Broncos suck. Killing Floor
All year y’all were talking about easy pickings when Brady retires and I’ve been saying Pants, Bucs and Aints are all making moves to be a lot better next year. I believe we can win the NFC South but then again, we could have skated away with it last year too.

Or…hear me out… Maybe they think 5 losing seasons is unacceptable to ownership and from the top down, and bottom up it’s win or get fired or cut this season. I empathize with their struggles. I’m hoping, honestly, that Blank issued a directive to his top men. I “hope” we beat the Bucs, Panthers and Saints. I “know” all 3 of those teams are going to be better and hungry to beat us. And the Aints and Panthers are going to treat it as a necessity. Go Falcons. Catch up.

ATLFalcons11
It's also a combination of the Falcons more than likely wanted at least a DC in place before the Senior Bowl

I just think it's a ***** move by Broncos to continously turn down Falcons requests to speak to staff that they part ways with soon after. That was how the Falcons ended up with Koetter for the 2nd time lol NCFalconfan and Lionzblade

To be honest, all the Panthers are missing is a QB to be a good team. Freddies 3rd Cuz
Panthers have a better roster than us and if they figure out the QB answer they should be favored to win the NFC South.

We have a staff who can worry about all this stuff. I think after the SB let down, if folks haven’t learned by now to detach from overly emotional bondage, then that’s on them. I watch it for fun and don't really take any of it serious at all. I'm just talking about it right because I'm bored before my medication kicks in. Then I'm out for the count for the night. Be back chiming in and making fun at other posters' expense tomorrow. HASHBROWN3
celtiksage
I like our chances. Saints had 2 shutouts and gave up more than 20 points only once in their last 10 games while Nielsen was co-DC. Then when we hired him, the remaining co-DC was fired. Wonder who was doing the bang up job and who wasn't? Nielsen was also assistant HC. Evero may be a good DC for them (he wasn't in Denver for his 1 year as a DC), but he still has Tepper and Fitterer, and they alone can screw up a wet dream. gazoo
