andrews31cain21
https://bloggingdirty.com/2023/01/15/top-3-reasons-atlanta-falcons-trade-derek-carr/ Interesting read and some valid points... I wouldnt mind if we could get him for a mid round draft pick and the Raiders eat some salary... Would have no interest in him with that 40mil cap hit this year. mikeg272
Man, that site likes Carr and very critical of Ridder. Yet, doesn't seem critical of Carr. Then click the next article and says Julio and Brady are free agent fits.... TheRisen999, Rings, ATLskinjob and 4 others 1 1
FalconFanSince1969
Nothing like a 34 year old qb for a rebuilding team. raysnill1, Chitown2ATL_Falcon, Herr Doktor and 8 others 6 3
Doctor Kildare
Carr will not come to be a backup and will be expensive. We need an experienced solid guy like Brissett or Foles who won't expect to be handed the starting job. He is still a good QB... probably the best Vet that will be available... PriMeTiiMe
Nah. I don’t think he’s a bad QB but he’s too old for what we are trying to build. JohnnyFranchise

Doctor Kildare
The writer of the article has needed only four games to determine Ridder is not the answer. He's got more excuses for Ridder's progress than Walter Football. And somebody needs to tell him that Kyle Trask and Andy Dalton were not the ones playing defense versus Ridder. Killing Floor
I like Carr a lot. Always have. If we’re not playing them he’s probably my favorite underdog not on our squad. He has certainly faced adversity every year starting with his injury. All due respect. But he’s wildly inconsistent, probably top 10 some days, bottom 3 some days. And I think a lot of it is in his head. So I’ll talk about Carr all day but I don’t want him in Atlanta now. But I sincerely hope he earns a Pro Bowl invite and if he’s playing for his division soon and if it’s not NFC South I will root for him. gazoo
We already have a young, inexpensive. Promising QB to build around. Absolute worse case scenario he doesn’t cut it and we have a better team to attract a vet next year with something more than bags of money. Sui_Generis
Top 3 reason why Falcons should NOT trade for Carr: #1. Ridder is a thing. #2. Salary Cap cost. #3. Does NOT fit AS scheme JohnnyFranchise, Bunchy Carter, Spongebob and 1 other 3
Drunken Minotaur Zebra
I'm so sick of lazy journalism... my god. What on Earth does Carr get us? An iffy scheme fit for a QB we don't really need that isn't a long-term solution and will piss off our current starter? Who writes this stuff? We need to bring in a veteran backup to help Ridder's growth, or say **** it and throw a bag at Lamar. There's pretty much no in-between.
