I'll never understand the ngakoue hype. Dudes half a football player that gets destroyed in the run game. No thanks considering what he will cost most likely

1 year less as a pro, twice as many sacks as Grady. I know that’s not the whole story. But that is why the hype. It’s understandable. I know he also gets burned, not arguing with ya. Just that is why he gets attention. He’s good for 10 sacks a season lately.

Edge rushers can't be compared to DTs

And for good reason…he’s one of the best in the business on something we absolutely suck at.

10 sacks over the course of 800 snaps isn't very productive when you do nothing else. There's a reason he's on a different team every year

Well, only 4 other players ever have been as consistent with sacks over their career, tallying 8+ in their first 8 seasons. Those players: Reggie White, Demarcus Ware, Derrick Thomas and Aaron Donald. Not at all saying he is as good as those guys, but he is in elite company for pass rush.

He is weak in run defense but better than any pass rusher this team has had since Abraham. That’s why I am guessing they will kick the tires. Him being on 4 teams in 4 seasons does give me pause though.

It's not even that he's weak in run defense, I could live with that, it's that he is terrible at it. He has 29 combined tackles this season on over 800 snaps. I don't know how that's even possible.

I like the #1 CB with our first pick. But I want Nolan Smith in the 2nd Rd (or possibly trade back up into the 1st rd). He would be a top 10 player imo if he didn't get hurt at the beginning of the season.

We already have a sixth round Guard on our Practice Squad.  In all honesty, line help will be in FA.  If we do draft lineman, it needs to be in the first four rounds.  If the NFL has proven nothing else, its that solid WR and Running backs can be found in lower rounds.  The college game churns out able players.  We need an OT in round two, no later.  First round should be the best defensive player on deck.  FA should be resign our key folks, nail a good guard, get a NT, and some kind of pass rush specialist.  OT may be a FA need if McGary walks.  I think he does.

Seems like every time someone brings up a game changing, league leader in any position half the board tells you why they suck and why we wouldn’t want them and then we read about the next big D2 player we’re scouting.
Game changers are called that because they change games.

Don't worry BPA is a myth. There is always a margin of error when comparing players.

BPA is also one of the lasiest clichés used on this board.

TAFT #1: Who do you like at #5?

TAFT #2: BPA

TAFT #1: What position does he play?

BPA just means that you take the more talented player regardless of position.

You don't decide ahead of time that you have to take DL with your first pick because it's a higher perceived position of need.
