Updated draft status (Currently Pick #7)

Recommended Posts

SOS between Atlanta, Carolina and Las Vegas is so close we could land anywhere between picks 7, 8, 9 if all 3 teams lose out. Theirs also a chance we can get pick 6 or pick 10.

- Pick 6 would require losing out, Winning the SOS tiebreaker over Carolina and Vegas (or them winning a game) and the Rams winning a game.

- Pick 7 would require losing out and Winning the SOS tiebreaker over Carolina and Vegas (or them winning a game)

- Pick 8 where we currently slotted

- Pick 9 if the SOS swings in week 18 and lose the tiebreaker to Carolina and Vegas

- Pick 10 if we beat the Bucs and Vegas and Carolina loses out

UPDATE: We moved up to 7th as of after the night game due the SOS swinging in our favor.

Since TB won the division and can only be the 4 seed, we will see backups so I'd assume 8 or 9 if Seattle beats Jets

We would drop to 10 at worst if we beat the Bucs.

Panthers and/or Raiders winning a game could get it up to 8 or 9 like you said.

So 8-10 is guaranteed if we win next week with 10 the most likely.

According to Tankathon we are actually slotted 7th right now with Carolina at 8th it just updated the rankings.

Raiders haven’t played yet. They beat our SOS. They will lose to 49ers later today.

The weaker SOS picks 1st correct?

Also can't forget about the Rams if they beat the chargers as well.  That would bump us up a spot i think above the Rams pick putting us back in 7th.

Yep lower SOS picks 1st.

raiders falcons and panthers are so close it could swing in any of the 3 teams favor over the next week.

rams winning would only help if we lose next week. Bucs may be resting everyone. If we lose, rams win and the SOS gods fall in line then yep we can get as high as pick 6.

had no idea 10 was the worst, some people on twitter are talking we could drop into the teens, but it wouldn't be the first time twitter got something wrong

They probably just look at the records. Ton of 7 win teams but all have way higher SOS. No chance we lose the tiebreaker to any of them.

Hmm one last question then for this week the Rams charger game also goes against both teams in the SOs as well.  Does the Chargers win hurt them more than us in SOS because they play them twice?    You are right they are super close.   I wonder if a double SOS boost with a chargers win over only falcons once   makes up the difference in SOS from a  .462 to a .466    .04 is super crazy close in SOS  im really interested in how much playing a team twice changes the SOS over playing them once.

Not sure how much it would swing it but it’s so close it’s gonna be interesting to watch over the next week. Let’s hope it breaks in our favor

If im reading it right if Seattle wins today then a top 9 pick is guaranteed right?  Their the only team i see with a SOs even close to us that the last game would matter outside of the raiders.  If all teams are tied and close.

Not if Seattle wins against jets (currently up big) them getting to 8 wins guarantees top 9. SoS for other teams to high other the Raiders andPanthers

I get the belief that Tampa plays back ups and we possibly can take that game, but they're currently 8-8. I don't see Brady taking that chance of finishing the season with a losing record even though they're playoff bound.

Tampa and Brady play till half and cruise to a 9-8 season.

I agree. They haven’t been playing well, and I could see next week as a tune up game to try and avoid and early exit. Also Brady has never had a losing season, and his ego won’t let him sit by and have that happen.

Skoronski should be in that range. Granted still early in my prep but grabbing highest o line on board that has tackle/ guard versatility is might enticing. Granted that means we need to get a couple knockout defensive players in free agency

Skoronski, Bresee, Murphy, Wilson, Stroud that is your main list of guys in the 5 to 10 range i would say to choose from that would be atleast above avg to great picks for us in the long run.  Thats actually a very good group of guys.   Outside of  Carter, Anderson, and Young the top 3 the rest of the dudes are about similar talent and we were never making it to the top 3 picks to begin with.
