I'm sure everyone will hate this idea, but Derek Carr wouldn't be an awful FA signing

If.. big if.. Oakland moves on from Carr after this season, would you hate kicking the tires on him in a prove it deal? He hasn't looked great in a while but he's did well in the past and isn't exactly old for a QB.

He'll likely be cut rather than traded, so no draft pick trading necessary.

Just something to think about.

Just now, Rings said:

People hated Ryan for how much he lacked mobility.  Then we don’t like mobility cause Mariota couldn’t throw?  So now we have come back full circle to someone who can’t throw as accurate as Ryan and still not mobile.  Makes sense.

Is a QB, Recognize his name

Could we be interested?

Carr actually has decent mobility. He just doesn’t use it for some reason lol.

Isn't Tannehill the ideal choice?  He was successful running AS's scheme.  He will likely be a FA in the off season and not be an expensive hire.  At his age, he would not be a major threat to Ridder, instead, he would be the perfect mentor.  And, if Ridder gets hurt, he is probably the best guy to step in and run the offense in his absence.
