Looks like Ryan benched again

This has got to be the worst football season of this guy's life. Nick Foles starting this week.

I never in a million years thought this was going to go so poorly for him in Indy.

Wanna know what's crazy ironic about Matt Ryan being benched for Nick Foles the week after he blew a 33-0 lead? Nick Foles was the QB for the Eagles who beat the Patriots in the Super Bowl, a year after Matt Ryan as a Falcon blew the 25-0 lead against the Patriots.

At least we can confirm that the universe has a sense of humor...

People have to take the emotion out of it. Doesn't matter what a guy has done or if he was your favorite or the best QB in team history. Nobody beats father time. Once upon a time stars look less than ordinary if they hang around long enough and don't have guys around them that can cover their flaws.

Matt is a great human being. He played a long time and is in the record book. He has enough money to do for his family and future generations. It's time for him to hang it up.

The league has progressed and passed him by. Too many young outstanding QBs, too many "plus" individual defenders that will eat a one dimensional QBs lunch. Especially if that guys was at best above-average arm talent that is less than that now.

Who is the starter week 18?  I love Ehlinger and he’s a crappe tonne better than Foles but it would be good to see Ryan close it out on a high note.

Noodle arms and legs won't close out on a high note.

Ryan got old and fell off - happens to everyone. The Colts OL didn't do him any favors, but regardless, Ryan's arm had clear decline in 2022. The Falcons made the right decision in moving on.

Doesn't change the fact that he's the greatest QB in Falcons history, took us to two NFCCG, a Super Bowl, and won an MVP.

Sad thing is, their O-line didn’t have an issue until Matt Ryan got there. Their lack of running game and solid WR’s killed him. I hate that their running game never showed up to be honest. Matt Ryan can still redeem the late stage of his career, he just has a ton of work to do.
