Patterson and the Aints linebacker

Recommended Posts

4th quarter on the touchdown drive. He pushed him down like an annoying kid. And the physical play was not only CP, but Allgeier and the rest of the offense.  I did not enjoy the loss, but it is a new experience in Falcon land for our offense to be the one physically dominating the action in the 4th quarter against decent opposition. That is why I am enthusiastic about the Arthur Smith regime. Maybe the Falcons are not that far off. Passing game needs improvement, defense needs work, but the second half had a lot of things to appreciate.

We are closer that people think. So many tight games this year. Just a little bit more and we flip those close losses to wins.

Strong DLine and better secondary play and those games start getting flipped. Assuming Ridder is no worse than status quo with Marcus Mediocre

CP is a "Breast"!!!  This is a different team without him!

Right.  Continue to accumulate physcial skilled players.

It’s not that simple. Do you remember the „success“ of fast and physical? I mean Jamaal Anderson was physically skilled. Rashede Hagemann? Unbelievable physical skill set. Don’t get me wrong, these talents are important. But without technique, awareness and player development within the organisation, we’ll stay the same Falcons team from the last 3-4 years with 4-8 wins, even with dozens of players with top physical traits.

Well obviously you want to get football players. But you also want guys that love the gm. I also said skilled positions though not the trenches.

I saw a thing that did every one score game and the record they would have if they would have won them.atlanta would be winning the division at 7 and 6.

It should be higher than that. They have been all one score games except 2 games(the bengals and the 1st panthers game)

I feel that way at times, but we also have soo many holes.  There is a vaccum next to Grady, we need receivers and multiple starters on the Oline.  We can rebuild by next year but there is still a lot of work to do.  The only positions I feel pretty good about are RB and ILB.

Incorrect. The first Panthers game was won by a FG. The second game was a one score game with the offense having a chance to drive for the winning score and I believe the offense turned the ball over on downs in their own half, giving the Panthers a short field.

Further reinforces my belief that GM and HC work in tandem to bring identity to a team.

No matter how many times DQ said "fast and physical" the only thing we were fast at was blowing leads. We were as physical as Charmin.

Physicality is a mentality, not a stat on a sheet. I'm glad TF and AS know that.

Can't wait to see Allgeier destroy someone.

It's happened a few times. This is what I meant by breaking arm tackles back in the day. This is the type of back I wanted with Freeman and Coleman. Not sure we would have won it all, but the SB may have been a bit different.

That’s what I never saw in ollison. He had good runs bc of good holes, but I never saw him break tackles. Imo that’s what separates great nfl backs from just guys.
