Desmond is AS's guy because he drafted him, Mariota was useful because he knew AS's system just like Woodside is useful knowing the system but I can tell from AS that he is really pissed at how Mariota is handling his hurt feelings and the media is looking for Mariota sound bites like vultures.

Smith - “As always it’s a performance decision and Ridder shows up and gets better every day”.

At this point, it's a win-win for Arthur Smith.  If Ridder doesn't do well, he's a rookie and there's a reason they waited this long to put him in there.  He did some good things but has some areas we'll need to work on.  If Ridder does well, it's a great start to his career and glad we gave him the time to develop.
