The Steelers playing on the road Monday night and then having to play on the road this Sunday should help the Falcons a lot.

I remember hearing a stat years ago that when a team has to play on the road on a Monday night then turn around and have to play on the road that Sunday the chances of them losing that Sunday game are very high.

I couldn't find the exact stat on that but I remember one of the NFL analysis talking about it. The Falcons will have an extra day and a half rest on Pittsburgh and are playing at home.

Probably not as much as you think. They do this for a living. It’s what? A 60 minute flight from Indy to Pittsburgh?

how will they ever recover

It should be an angry Falcons team coming off an extra day and a half test. They should be able to pull this off.

We did just give a talented Washington team a good fight

Kenny Pickett is getting better each week and will be licking his chops at our room temperature butter-soft defense next week.

If AK isn't ready to go it's gonna be a long day at work.

Yep, AK and Grady and the rest of our D-Line should be ready to "EAT"!!!
Get the Rookie on the ground!  Early and Often!!!

Steelers O line sucks. We might get a sack. Colts scored 3 but no way we get that many. But we should be able to get at least 1 sack.

Their D is 6th against the run. They are going to force us to pass (because their coach adapts and plans and uses film). That makes me nervous. We will need Marcus Mariota to pass for more than 200 yards. That’s a tall ask but not impossible. We aren’t going to run 200 yards on Pittsburgh.

Their Rookie QB is a lot more confident and more athletic and more attentive than our vet.

This is a game we can win but so are 11 of the 12 we’ve played so far. This game is on Mariota’s arm. Sorry. But true.

Pickett is looking good but he is certainly not more athletic than the Flyin' Hawaiian

Pickett has 3 TDs and 8 picks.

Am I missing something?

Your chalice is always half full.

He’s also 3-4 as a rookie as a starter on a team that we’re all agreeing we can beat.  Mariota is 3-4 in the same period, last 7 games. Pickett has 1600 yards plus he’s got 3 rushing TD.

Pickett has 475 more pass yards over the last 7 games than Mariota.  He has 404 More total yards if you’ve accounted for Happy Feet’s rushing.  Pickett has 97 1st downs in 7 starts.
Kenny Pickett has beaten Tampa and New Orleans this year.  Mariota hasn’t.

I believe Falcons can win. But I always believe we can win.  This Steelers team is a lot better than the Rams or the Chargers or Panthers. Mariota better pull up his big boy adult diapers and strap up.
