What if Ridder stinks?

At no point this year has AS seemed anywhere close to even considering playing Ridder. Since Mariota hasn't exactly lit it up, what if Ridder has been just as bad or worse in practice? 

What if Mariota is really our best shot? 😬

If Ridder is bad, then hopefully we can find that out before the season ends. People clamouring to start Ridder want him to start for the information, not because he is a sure thing.

Then that tells us that we need a quarterback.

But on the same hand it also puts into question their ability to evaluate quarterbacks.

But if Ridder turns out to be that guy, then AS and TF will look like the next great NFL geniuses.

I think we should continue to start Mariota who we know sucks, rather than ever finding out if Ridder is any good.

But what if AS has his set time to start Ridder?

Some QBs need that time sitting and learning and are ready to hit the ground running once they do get to start.

That time can be extremely valuable to a QB. I honestly think Ridder in his 2nd season in this scheme will be better than any rookie playing year 1 next season.

This could be true but tbh outside of Bryce Young none of these other QB prospects in this years draft are particularly good.

What if he does?  Would it be better to know now in a losing season or find out next season when it’s too late to draft another?

Because we know Mariota Stinks. And Ridder looked really good in preseason, yeah, I know that’s not a true measure.

This 23' QB class is so overrated and you can tell that many who are wanting the Falcons to draft one so badly aren't really following these QBs this college season.

Most of them have been really underwhelming to just plain bad.

It's very comparable to the 2019 class. Young even plays a bit like Kyler and there's a first round prospect QB from Ohio State as well.

Yep, Also some want Falcons to draft Anthony Richardson.

 

He's not even starting quality in college football.

Now that I think about it, both classes also have a QB3 that is from a basketball blue blood lol. 
 

But I agree Richardson is not close to nfl ready yet. He needs to return to florida. I could see him being a day 3 or even undrafted if he declares.

If Ridder stinks it’s doubtful AS will get a chance to draft another QB unless the defense has a MAJOR turnaround.

Cant have a different QB every year and expect to stick around unless you have a **** of a defense.
