matty72780
Here is a list from NFL.com. 4 of the top 10 are offensive lineman. If we can get Quenton Nelson, Orlando Brown or Elgton Jenkins that would be insanity! Shoot, we could realistically get 2 of the 3 and our line is set for the next 5 years and would be absolutely dominant! Going to be reallllll nice watching Terry spend this $85+ million in cap money. https://www.nfl.com/_amp/top-25-nfl-free-agents-in-2023-prospective-class-headlined-by-lamar-jackson-and- You have to expect we try and shore up the OL via FA instead of the draft. If you have the money to spend and you can get proven NFL maulers that’s hands down the best way to spend a chunk of our cap. I also suspect we look at trying to get 2 of the 3 between an edge rusher, a NT to help Grady and an OLB. We likely go NT or Edge with 1st pick in draft, a DB or OLB with 2nd pick and a WR with 3rd pick to provide more offensive firepower. That’s just what I believe makes sense and now that we finally have money to spend in FA it makes filling holes with proven guys much easier and allows us to focus on skill positions via the draft. The perfect level of alignment! PokerSteve
Falcanuck
Nelson has proven to be an incredible run blocker, but can’t say the same for his pass pro
FalconFanSince1969
Nelson definitely isn't a free agent..... He signed an 80 million dollar extension before the season started. That list is from August. Tim Mazetti, blizzard_falcon, Lionzblade and 3 others
FentayeJones
This must be an old list because several of these players have signed extentions already like Nelson Derwin James, Erik McCoy and Chubb. PriMeTiiMe
Nelson has become the McGary of LGs. Great run blocker but gets his QB killed in pass protection.

SwampyMux12
Over the cap is a nice site for this. It gives contract history and when FA gets closer it will give a "market value" to FAs.

k-train
https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/all// This should be a bit more accurate. Side note... how insane is it to see Wes Schweitzer listed amongst the top OL free agents, with an estimated annual salary of almost $14M per year? Norwood all the way!, Emmitt, RunningThePiszOuttaTheBall and 2 others 3
Banana Bandit
Let this thread be a reminder to all. It's not always best to be the first that posts something. It's best to be right, lol. Herr Doktor and Norwood all the way!

FalconFanSince1969
Anyway, my plan would be to specifically target players from division rivals because they're all in such bad cap shape that we can easily outbid any of them. A few names I would look at are De Marcus davenport Cb Jamel dean (OTC has him as being worth 20+ mil... WTH) Carolina doesnt really have anybody lmao. Then I'd try to go get a true center fielder safety in Jesse Bates and I'd try to snatch one of the top centers. falconsd56

In hindsight TD, should have kept him instead of letting him go and signing Brown and Carpenter - but I digress. k-train and Herr Doktor

He is probably going to get overpaid vs his actual production but with TF here, there is that obvious connection....and we need pass rushers bad. Seems like a large chunk of change for a pass rusher who's yet to hit double digits after 4 1/2 years, and only has eclipsed 6 sacks one time in that span. falconsd56, Herr Doktor, FA91 and 1 other 3

Herr Doktor
Looking at that spotrac list, looking at the bottom 50 percent of those named there will give us a more realistic look at the guys we may be looking at. I get that we want to buy all the things, but we need to be realistic with how we do it. The scheme guys in that 850k to 1.5 million range is the sweet spot for veteran talent. poutlipper, ukfalc and k-train 1
FalconAge
My ideal offseason- 1. Extend Lindstrom and Terrell We break the bank on Lindstrom but don't set any records with Terrell's contract given he's had two mediocre years to one good year. 2. Sign Jack Conklin RT Changes our entire offense by not having to do max protect to pass downfield, whoever is our starting QB in 2023 gets to pick apart coverage with enough time to think 3. Sign Justin Houston OLB Gives a veteran presence to our pass rush group. Justin Houston is one of the instructors at Von Miller's pass rush summit and is still getting it done at an advanced age. He has a similar body type to Ebiketie and can help him unlock his potential like Freeny did for Vic Beasley. These three moves would be huge but if we decide to be a tad more aggressive... 4. Sign Dalvin Tomlinson NT We get a high pedigree Nose to anchor the middle of our 3-4 5. Sign Jessie Bates FS We say "never again" after the Panthers Fail Mary and get a true center fielder to tighten our deep coverage 6. Trade the Rams a 2024 3rd round pick for Cam Akers In the draft I'm liking Cornerback in the first and Guard or Center in the second.
