Popular Post matty72780
TERRY TERRY TERRY!!!!! Goodness gracious are we lucky to have him as a GM, he is making MOVES! Trades Julio for a 2nd & 4th round pick to TN, we all lose our minds and call for his head. He’s had 531 total yards and 2 TDs in the last year and a half. Trades Matt Ryan for a 3rd rounder to Colts, we all lose our minds and call for his head. Matt Ryan get indefinitely benched. Trades Ridley for a 5th in 2023 and a possible 2nd in 2024. Ridley used “mental health“ as the reason he couldn’t play for Atlanta, but then shortly there after gets busted for gambling on football. Did Ridley really have mental health issues or did he just want a paycheck and not want to get hit? Guess we will never know, but that’s for Jacksonville to find out. Hopefully for our sake Ridley does want to play and does it well because we get better compensation. Trades Deion Jones to the Browns for a 7th rounder in 2023, really a contract dump. In 2 years Terry successfully dumped all our horrible contracts for players who aren’t producing in any capacity. Now we’re going to be nearly $90M under the cap in 2023 and can have a field day getting our guys! We sit atop the NFC south mid-way through the season with 14 players on 1-year “prove it deals” and the #6 ranked offense with a QB who hadn’t started a game in nearly 3 years - FLYIN HAWAIIAN BABY! I guarantee you if Thomas Dimitroff was still here, we would still be starting Matt Ryan, Julio Jones, Deion Jones and would have virtually no money going into 2023. FINALLY BLANK, good work! Agreed, he’s only a couple years in but good lordy, he has not missed since taking the job! Even if he only gets it right 70% of the time, that’s still 100% better than Dimitroff haha JohnnyUtahFalconfan36 and NanoLedgerS

I agree with everything you said but the Matt Ryan situation. That oline is not been the best this year at all that was the hopes for Ryan but sadly not the truth. Love what the new staff has done so far. primetime
matty72780
OK, the comment about the colts offensive line is completely irrelevant, it still does not change the fact that we unloaded Matt Ryan’s contract and he is now benched and likely done as an NFL quarterback. Wasn’t relevant for the point anyway, point was about Matt Ryan’s garbage contract being moved which would still be on the books if TF wasn’t our GM. Snafu
I like what he’s doing, but I’m gonna hold off on calling him a genius until I see what happens w/ the QB position…you know, the most important position in the NFL. FentayeJones
He definitely unscrewed the mess that TD left the team in. The slate is clean now and the team look to be about a year ahead of schedule. Rings, Slimm and rounz
mjqvi
When its all said and done TF will be the best GM and AS the best coach this team has had. I trust what these guys are doing. To find the diamonds TF has and for AS to get the most out of them in this cap mess and be leading the division while running for 150 yards+ most games is incredible. The question is what happens if this team get healthy on defense and makes it to (lets be crazy here) the divisional round where we are competitive at least behind Mariota (outside of 2 50-50 ball INT's the guy played pretty well Sunday). Do we go all in on him for a reasonable contract? Emmitt and BudATL

Ryan's contract was going to be unloaded one way or the other. It should have happened in year 1. The writing was on the wall for a couple of years with Ryan. He wasn't the same guy and needed tons of help that his cap hits prevented. EpicBird

We all know how that went. It doesn't take much to go from being a genius to a dumb*** in the NFL. falconsd56

I understand perfect world scenario if you have an ability to force someone to do exactly what you want, then sure, that would’ve been the case. However, in the real world when you transfer somebody’s contract that you are obligated to pay, you have to find someone who is willing to take that on, which he did in Indianapolis. I am positive he attempted with more than likely multiple other teams to try to get this contract off the books within one year, but this was the best deal he could negotiate, but I’m sure you probably would’ve got it done. I didn't say one year. I said year 1. As in they should have gotten rid of Ryan in AS and TFs first year instead of the 2nd.
