We’ve been going on **** near 2 decades of god awful defense from this franchise at this point so it’s not surprising at this point, but god ****** when is this going to end?

How can a franchise have this one consistently terrible attribute through 20 years??

Not his fault the Falcons corner and Evans blew coverage by stopping and letting Moore get by them for that td.

You do realize the falcons are down 3 players in the secondary right?

Oh em gee that changes my whole point, thank you for this post.

This is an NFL franchise with NFL caliber players. At some point you would think we could find a collection of people that actually do their jobs.

I'm going to give you $5 and ask you to make a Michelin star meal. I'm sure you can do it

People have been saying “Not the coaches fault that…” for 20 years now.

When are we going to get the right players?

Our team is consistently bad at prevent defense...stop calling it.

Insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results.

Sooooo..... Lack of execution from players isn't and hasn't been the issue over the years? It's easy to put everything on the coaches. What about the players who can't push an offensive lineman backwards or break free from a block. Or the secondary member who doesn't play his assignment. Or the player who sees a guy running towards him and instead of tackling, they allow another 3 yards before touching him. I can keep going if I wanted to

It's due to massive breakdowns in coverage by the secondary.

Injuries are a huge reason why they were consistently awful this game. The defense came close to having would be sacks if they had held up in coverage.

Only one starter of the secondary played today.

The Falcons aren't that good of a defense, but they've managed to keep every game close til the very end outside of the Bengals game.

If players are consistently bad in a specific scheme or play then there are two options.  1.  Bench the player.  Or 2. Stop running that play.

Pees played prevent earlier this year and it cost the team. He isn't learning from his mistakes. Rushing three passers in the NFL is a disaster waiting to happen, especially when you already have issues getting to the QB.

Harder to stay aggressive with backups and practice squad players starting most of the secondary though in that situation.

All the players had to do was not give up the big play and let the time run out.

Who are you benching them for?  We have practice squad players playing.  You calling guys out of retirement?  Hit up the XFL?
