I know I'm going to get hugely flamed for this...

...but this is why you don't lose your mind over a win over the 49ers and you're 3-3, now 3-4. I saw some of the most ridiculous posts/threads I've ever seen after that win that irrationally believed we were a lot further along than we are. 'Could we beat the Bills?' etc, etc, etc. Man just be realistic and pump the breaks already. At least try to act like you know something about football.

So you are aware that we were down to our 3rd, 4th, and 5th string CBs in this game?? ...if not..please enlighten us

This is the TAFT though. We get delusional after a win. This team is still 2 years away from being legit. Trust the process

Don't use our depleted secondary as an excuse. 9ers were missing over half their defensive starters and the mantra was "no excuses." So which is it?

I mean you can use the same logic for this loss. The truth is the weakness in our run strategy was exposed - if we get a pass heavy team that starts fast, we can't catch up. Our secondary was also decimated. Its ok to be excited after a win and we are young team with a long way to go.

We're not as good as we think after a win, and not as bad as we think after a loss like today. Realistically, this team is exactly what their record says that they are, just very average.

I still think avg is a good thing for this team right now because thats a **** of alot better than what people think we should be talent wise and with as much dead cap as we have right now.  We are literally fielding a team half full of mediocre or worse player because of our cap space problems.  We by all rights are playing above our talent level and the coaching staff has done a very good job imo with what we have.   We do have some very good players still but we also have some cast offs from other teams that not many people wanted.  When you add the injuries starting to pile up it's not gonna be easy to compete with teams like Cincy who are talented enough to go to the SB last year.

Kind of like how San Fran was playing their entire 2nd string dline?

So SF down to their 2nd string line, and thats why we won.... We are down to our 3, 4, 5 string CBs and lost, and thats who we are??..hmm..seems like some people here have their own objectives..

Average will give this team a chance in a year where every team is bad-average outside of the bills, eagles, and chiefs.

I think we would have gotten waxed by Cincy even if the team is fully healthy.

You can't consistently win games with the offense we've put on the field so far this season.

I think it would’ve been closer if we had a healthy D but prolly still would’ve lost. I’ve said in other threads this offense is too one dimensional with the golden child under center and good teams are gonna clamp down on our run game

Nobody likes losing but we will rebound from this, we just ran into a good team

I’ve been saying for years this board is a real-time study of bipolar behavior
