I really need more outta Pitts…

You see, it's not all Mariota, our receivers don't get open like other receivers, that could be poor route design or poor route running. One thing I do know is that they should catch the ball when it hit them in the hands. The Falcons should never over pay a receiver when the time comes.

Don't be too hard on Pitts, he's still developing as a player. When he finally hits his prime and we have a game plan that features said prime that's when we can judge what we got in the first round a couple years back.

I hear u but as a pro its ur job to stay focused and in the game. The ball hits his hands nd he gets beat too often on these 50/50 balls. No fight for position and no fight at point of attack on the ball. Even the pass in the end zone… get a half step deeper and fight and he is across the plane.

It's only his second season; he hasn't learned enough yet. Next year maybe a better time to be worried about his play because he really should break out by then.

I won’t put his production all on him but you would like to see him “look” more dominating. When you see a pass comes his way he doesn’t attack the ball like a guy his size and when he does catch it you don’t see him finish with authority. He doesn’t look “dominant” like you would want to see out of a top guy. It’s like if the ball isn’t thrown to him in stride with room to run he goes down pretty easily. Hopefully he grows into his body and starts making more plays because it’s hasn’t been the impact you expect with the 4th pick so far
