Heyman said his "source" is a close friend of Swanson's and the offer was around $100M but Dansby didn't like the figure. Heyman said the friend indicated Swanson prefers to stay. We heard a few weeks ago from the AJC that Dansby and Anthopoulos had talks and exchanged numbers in the regular season.

DOB had speculated that 5 years $120Mish range would probably be the sweet spot.

When you look at some of deals given out over the last few years.... That would be a steal.

Dansby unfollowed the Braves on Instagram and removed the Braves from all of his social media bio’s, for those of you that put any stock into that sort of thing.

I wouldn’t. He will be a free agent so he’s really not part of the Braves unless he re signs

Odd situation in NY. Yankees GM Brian Cashman is working and making all the decisions for the 2023 roster right now. Odd part is Cashman is not technically employed by the team anymore. His contract expired on Halloween and has not been renewed yet. Cashman said ownership has expressed interest in keeping him and he wants to stay but no deal is done yet. So the Yankees will be working to keep Judge among other FA targets with a GM that's not currently tied to the organization.

The Yankees have announced Boone will remain as manager though. Steinbrenner called Boone a great manager.

Mets and Edwin Diaz are close to a 5 year $102M extension. Would be the biggest contract for a RP in history.

It's done, full no trade, option for year 6 and has an opt out after 3 years in case the Braves are still the Mets daddy.
