Former Brave Scott Thorman has interviewed for the KC job. Apparently Thorman has been managing in the KC system and most recently at AAA. So he knows the roster.

Thorman has been a manager in the Royals minor league system since 2014, winning a SAL championship with Lexington in 2018 and a Carolina League championship with Wilmington in 2019. Last year he managed AAA Omaha.

Just read a report saying Dodgers going after Judge in the off-season....

**** don't make no sense...if they get him..Mookie moving to 2nd base

Probably to keep him out of SF. He's from the bay area and it's believed the Giants plan to make a huge push. They want him to be the new Bonds.

Giants have just as much money though don't they?

Does matter, whoever signs him will regret the last half of the contract IMO.

They can definitely afford him. It might indeed be regrettable eventually. He also does not perform in October. Decent track record of nothing at this point.

He should have went out on a successfull season because he has been *** for 5 years.

He's averaged 2.7 WAR the past two seasons. His salary is just a little bit above what it should be for that kind of performance. It's be $14.66 million, and he's getting $17.5 million, most of it deferred at a million a year for a decade.

Manfred just did a radio interview, he said they no longer feel the A's will remain in Oakland. He said the likely scenario is what we all thought, Las Vegas. He did say they believe the Rays will remain in the Tampa area long term. He thinks they'll get a new stadium deal done there. Getting all of that settled puts us that much closer to expansion and realignment. It's thought that MLB would adopt more of an NFL look with a NL South type of thing with Atlanta, Tampa, Miami and Nashville/DC.

Manfred also said the extra inning runner rule is likely permanent. He said the union and owners both like it.

MLB is finally dropping the unbalanced schedule though. Beginning in 2023 you don't play your division nearly as much. You play everyone now. The Braves will see every AL and NL team next season. You just rotate out home/away with the AL teams.

We may never miss the playoffs again.
