Jimsmusic™
we would still need 2 catchers incase of injury and to give murphy a day off so often.

Not to mention a dedicated DH to fill that void, unless we see Ozuna owning that spot.
Unknøwn
I dont see d'Arnaud going anywhere. You've already got rid of your depth.

We don’t trade both other guys unless that’s the plan. falconsd56

ATL Fan in the DMV
Relying on Ozuna to be a productive DH at this point would be malpractice.
Unknøwn
I dont think Ozuna would be anything more than emergency OF, backup DH. If he starts slow they very well could just DFA him. AA has already said the plan right now is to have Murphy/d'Arnaud split time at catcher and DH.
K26dp
Ehire Adrianza is back on a minor league contract with ST invite.

K26dp
The Braves aren't going to just hand the no-hit utility infielder role to Adrianza. They have acquired 26-year-old infielder Hoy Park from the Boston Red Sox for a PTBNL or cash. Park came up through the Yankees system and made his ML debut in 2021. He was traded along with shortstop Diego Castillo a few weeks later to Pittsburgh. Between 2021 and 2022, Park has appeared in 67 games with the Pirates. Overall he has hit .201/.291/.346 in 2019 major league PAs. His minor league numbers indicate there may be something more there however, and he owns a .801 OPS at the AAA level. Pittsburgh traded Park to Boston in November in exchange for reliever Inmer Lobo, but they designated him for assignment three days ago to make roster room for old friend Kenley Jansen. Unknøwn
Ken Rosenthal did some digging into LA/Swanson. He said they basically are doing what they did with Freeman. They'll sit back and see if Dansby just kind of drops into their lap because nobody else will pay him what he wants. Rosenthal said the likely event in that scenario would be Dansby just returns home to Atlanta but if not, the Dodgers will be waiting at their own price, not his. I believe their reason on waiting is they want to see if they have to pay Bauer. From what I’ve read LAD doesn’t want to be in the CBT this year and paying Bauer would put them close and probably not able to sign Swanson

They won't pay Dansby some crazy money just to get him. He'll have to want them or need them.

Saw where Jon Heyman said the two teams he thought were in on Dansby now were the Cubs and….the Braves. He said Braves work very stealthily - my guess is Braves kind of moving like Dodgers - sit on sideline and see where Dansby’s market goes - then decide. What is Braves top number? I don’t see them going over $19mm/yr and 6 yrs.

More than likely there is a number north of this that Braves would pay but we won’t know what it is unless he signs for it (with Braves). Rarely does a team in any sport come with their best offer 9 months before free agency.
Malachore
If he comes back I see around 6/120 which wouldn't be terrible. I've given the crap his entire career but he's probably worth near that. He doesn't hit for extended periods but when he does hit he's red hot, has a great glove, is a leader and is pretty clutch. g-dawg
tl;dr
I don’t expect to keep Dansby because I don’t think we give him the kind of money SSs are getting right now
Unknøwn
Twins are reportedly expecting to be outbid for Dansby. Seems like Cubs, Braves, Cards and Dodgers right now. More likely Cubs/Braves according to everything right now.
