We apparently know that we're gonna have to pay some of the kids who haven't been extended yet. We've got rich people problems this off-season. I can't think of anyone other than Fried, maybe Wright. Unknøwn
I dont think deGrom was ever a real thing. That started because he told his friends he'd like to play close to home and the Braves would be his closest pick. That's just a fan thing not a reality. We gotta sign a SS and fill some minor holes plus sign Fried. Can't afford to pay deGrom $30M a year or whatever.

If Soroka turns it around, he immediately becomes a financial oddity. He's arb 3. From the way he has spoken, I suspect he'd take less for us, but it's still a thing. Then, there's Strider, Minter, and Anderson. Plus, locking up Wright and Fried alone probably adds another $40 million to the payroll. Minter is a good one, he's not going to be cheap the way he's going and the way he performs in October. jidady

If he turns it around and doesn't re-sign, he becomes a free agent at age 27 and could get a mammoth deal. I think if Fried wanted to sign an extension, he would have signed an extension by now. I don't see Atlanta locking anyone else up this winter except maybe AJ Minter. jidady

Strider put up a season better than Kerry Wood's ROY year. I don't think Braves fans really get what they have in Spencer Strider. Malachore
Don't see Soroka getting a big deal. The guy can't even complete his rehab before he has to stop, miss time and start another.

Every human being has a breaking point and a line you shouldn't cross. Should you cross my line, you'll wish that you had injured John Wick's dog instead. Mike Soroka is my line. Don't f'n cross it. Malachore
Seems like an odd trade when the guy has a career 5 ERA and no options.

They don't allow playoffs to impact any of these awards. The pretty much deadlock for all 3 in the first place votes tells you how split it was. Buck just got more points from other ballots. falconsd56

Good fastball, good slider, strikes guys out. Just walks a ton of guys too. Maybe they've noticed something mechanically. If it doesn't work they can release him in ST. Stephens seemed like a good dude, but... well, we saw.

My non Rose colored glasses ballot (disregarding playoffs of course) would have looked like: 1. Marmol (Cardinals) 2. Thomson (Phillies) 3 Snitker 4.
