Baseball is different like that. It's all about who is hot at just the right moment. Last year it was the Braves. That's why we've a seen a fair share of WC teams do a lot of damage in October. They're typically the hot team coming in cause they had to be.

This weekend isn't even about who is hot. LA was simply out-talenting SD last night. Then, the bloop hits started falling in the 7th followed by a torrential downpour. The BABIP gods AND the weather are against the best teams right now.

Even Houston could have just as easily gotten swept. Alvarez saved their bacon.

The Braves got the **** beat out of them. The offense did nothing.

They lost focus after sweeping the Mets, there was no good or bad luck involved. Just bad, uninspired baseball.

Hard to argue that. We just played bad baseball in 3 of 4 games. Wright, Minter, Olson and d'Arnaud showed up but we got nothing from pretty much everywhere else.

Game 1: Fried is sick

Game 3: Spencer isn't right due to his oblique

Game 4: Morton gets hit square on the pitching elbow after recording three outs.

So, we're only unlucky if starting pitching is important in baseball.

All of that can be true.

You can play bad baseball and still have bad luck.

Game one ,the braves had some very bad luck.
