We can now put to rest what happened to the Falcons (28-3).

Ever wonder how the Falcons played great football for 3-Quarters, and the Saints with Winston could do nothing right. Then comes the 4th-Quarter and everything is reversed, Winston can do nothing wrong. This is not your imagination running wild.

I know people that played in the NFL, and I can tell you, they said they hit like a ton bricks on the field. Most of the time it is a very brutal sport, but that is 'most of the time'.

Also, I laugh at those that say the players never come forward!

I knew it!

Cause it only makes sense that a sports League with an international size presence would only let one team win over and over and over again.

The only way it's a conspiracy is it the Falcons are in on it as well. If that's the case, I don't want to be a fan of this team anymore.

That wasn't the case.

Wish we coulda finished the comeback against the Rams. Can you imagine what Raheem Morris was thinking during?

That would have been nice but just to be able to get within striking distance show me quite a bit about this team.

We'll see how things go these next 3 weeks but the arrow is pointing up.

Lmao. Please no one waste 3 minutes of your life with that video. Smith says the game isn't decided on the field. The only thing he 'defends' that with is saying that they knew every play the Raiders were going to run because they decided to run the Bucs offense which was odd. When the interviewers ask why he thinks they did that he just laughs and says 'all I'm saying is the game isn't decided on the field.'

You really believe what you said?

I love the NFL, used to be an Atlanta sports reporter, and it really pains me to post this article. Wish so bad it was not true, and you were right. Unfortunately, I live with words and know very well how to interpret what people say. He could not have been more clear and concise, really.

Just for the record, anyone that knows me already knows where I stand on this issue, but I still love football and will probably always follow the Falcons. Wish there was a way for fans change things, wish that in the worst way!

I mean, I just repeated what the guy in the video said.

That's the only defense, is that it is fake, not the interpretation of what he is saying.

I believe we are going to see many more players come forward, which would go a long way in cleaning this sport up. This is the age that things become transparent.

He tried to tell the host several times what he was trying to say, before the host caught-on to what he was trying to say. Then, I believe the host came out and positively defined what he was saying. Only listened once, will have to go back and listen again.

Anyone know who these host or commentators are?

It's Tampa Bay sports radio, 95.3 WDAE. The interview is a couple years old.

His entire argument is that the Raiders ran the same offense as the Bucs. When the interviewers press he offers no explanation and later says the NFL decides who goes based on entertainment value. If that's the case, where were our Brees-Brady, Rodgers-Brady, Manning-Rodgers, etc. Super Bowls? Why have the Cowboys (the highest valued franchise in the league) not been to a Super Bowl in 25 years? Why has the most recent NFL darling child in the LV Raiders struggled so badly?

Use some Occam's razor here man. Either this is just some dude looking for attention with a box of Reynold's Wrap or there is a league wide conspiracy involving casinos, players, the commissioner, coaches, and owners to fix the league.

I went back and watched the game clock very carefully. Matt Ryan hiked the ball several times in the 4th Quarter with 12-14 seconds left, and the clock running. I counted, we gave NE almost two minutes back in the late 3rd and 4th Quarter. If he milks the clock in just a couple of these instances, the Falcons win easy.

Does this spell it out for you? Go back and look for yourself, so obvious.

Thanks for clarifying who these guys are. Really appreciate that, dirtybirds233!

It tells me the video is probably not fake.

No curse. No conspiracy.

Right at this moment it’s sunny, blue sky, no wind, 90F and below 20% rh. It’s spectacular and I’d love to go out to the lake. But most likely nobody else would pick up my work.

53 Atlanta Falcons and the entire coaching staff did that after halftime. Bugged out of work early thinking nobody would notice. Then someone’s phone lit up and they all raced back to the office 5 minutes before close of business. By the time they got back to work the day was shot. It was too late.

Sneaking out of the office early on a nice day and getting caught on the golf course or at the bar is not a conspiracy.

I think that you have to be a bit naive to think that the NFL runs anything that they do cleanly. We all know it's an extremely unethical organization that's just here to make money.

Now that being said, that video is total BS. That would be a really dumb and obvious way to try to manipulate the game. I think it's more subtle and less ironclad than that.

I personally believe that refs get told to influence certain games in certain ways, usually in favor of which team has the most viewership and therefore commands the most views (money). But it's not like that video was saying.

I think that one of the strongest cases for the NFL being slightly rigged is the inclusion of gambling in the last few years. Gambling is almost always dirty in some way. There's a reason that the house always wins.

And I think it makes a lot of sense that NFL has been all about enforcing small ticky-tacky holding calls and god forbid you physically touch a QB. Same with PI. They're all really easy to make a questionable call on that still could be seen as legit, but still can drastically change the outcome of a game.

A deep PI call can basically be a free TD. A roughing the passer call can completely derail a defense's momentum and give the opposing offense a fresh set of downs. We've all seen it happen.

And with all of these questionable rules that aren't really enforcable, it opens up plenty of opportunities to try and manipulate the game.

And I don't think that refs are always successful in what they're trying to accomplish. I think that a team can still outplay the flags if they're good enough.

But you'd have to be a little crazy to think that with billions and billions of dollars on the line that there's not some sort of control on the outcome of games, even if it is fairly minor.
