Just got bumped, it was posted yesterday. But yeah, it blows.

I have faith that Allgier and Huntley can do it, but having to gameplan and film study for CP is a lot of work that's now off the table. TB is going to be no joke, and I think this is where we really see how good our coach is. This is a totally different look than a Browns team, and despite their record and game scores, they are good. We'll see what we got this week for real. Keep us close and not a blowout and he gets props.

Honestly I don't get this at all.  So if we can't beat Tampa without our best RB and one of our best offensive weapons, or if we can't keep it close, that makes Smith somehow less of a coach?

Coaching matters for sure.  Talent does too.  We just beat a team that everyone acknowledges is way more talented than we are.  They have Chubb and Hunt.  We used Allgeier and Huntley to out-rush them.  Their fans and pundits said we out-coached them.  That's something.  Tampa is WAY more talented than we are.  I don't think moving the goalposts constantly is helpful.

Smith is a great coach, and he's proving it with every game we play.  If we beat Tampa, obviously that's something everyone ought to agree on.  But if they blow us out because we're missing one of our best weapons and they already have us in an immeasurable talent deficit, I don't think that is in any way a knock on Arthur Smith.

How about I put it out a different way, if we beat Tampa or we make a good game out of it (and as is said, Tampa is way more talented than we are), then AS is legit (because obviously, game planning would be what gets us the win).

I'm not actually convinced the talent level is so vastly better on Tampa's roster. Of course, they probably have us beat at WR (they have some serious depth too), DL, and definitely QB. But, I don't think the talent level is vastly better at RB, OL, and defensive secondary where we might be better than they are.

Bottom line isn't if we can't win or keep it close AS sucks, but rather if we do, he is certainly a bad@s$. Glass half empty vs half full I think. 😆

This board will lose its mind if we somehow go into TB and win.

That being said, they are coming off 2 tough losses. I expect this to be ugly. If we keep it competitive for 4 quarters I will be happy.

Given the amount of dead money and the talent deficiency on this team, I'm pretty happy no matter what happens this season.  We're going to get blown out at some point, by someone.  As long as the team keeps scrapping, I'm good.

Next season is when my expectations will go up.  Because if they can get these results with this roster, they'd better be able to top them with what should be a much, much better roster.

Best bet here is to run, run, and run some more. Tampa's rush defense is nothing special and the Falcons have one of the best rushing attacks in the NFL. If they can keep Tom and co. on the sidelines, the Falcons will have a chance. If Tampa shuts down the run, then it's going to get ugly fast. It will give Brady additional drives to score points against this shaky defense and force Mariota to try and play catch up against one of the leagues best pass defenses.

This. Like I said in the offseason, I just wanted to see this team compete and not get blown out on a regular basis like in 2021. Everything else would be gravy.

Don't you dare bring hope through that door! I'm content with watching and game just to watch it and not get my hopes up!!! I'm scared to believe 😂😆😂

This is where I am at.  Hoping for the best, expecting the opposite for the time being.  The Tampa game will be the litmus test.  Can we run on them?  If we cannot run the ball, can Mariota beat them through the air?  If he can, maybe we are one of those teams of destiny.  If he can't, we know that there is always next year.

I think this game is up to Brady.  If he is positive and optimistic, he can put the Bucs on his back and get a win.  We could see the GOAT once more.  But, where is he mentally?  Was he happy before Gisele gave him the boot?  Is he getting quality time with his children?  The Brady bunch filed for divorce today.  Is Tom happy he stood up to Gisele or is he second guessing; maybe even starting to hate the Bucs?

If I had to guess, I think we will see a lackluster Tom Brady.  The Falcons have to take advantage of this.
