Nebraska is currently vetting Gary Patterson and Matt Rhule. They're also keeping an eye on Jeff Monken.

I hope Monken gets that opportunity, as slim of a chance it may be. He pulled Southern out of mediocrity back in the early 2010's and has now been the most successful Army coach in the programs (modern) history. The guy knows how to coach a football team, would love to see what he could do at a P5.

It's not for lack of trying. He's been pushing for a bigger job for years now. He's told teams he would not bring the old school triple option. He's made it known that he would modernize into a spread option.

According to the Athletic, new GT AD J Batt's top choice is believed to be Bill O'Brien. He's made it known he wants the job and is said to be willing to hire a true OC to revamp the offense.

The report says O'Brien is expected to leave Alabama after the season regardless of what happens. He prefers to land a HC job in college but is being mentioned for the Patriots vacant OC position that Belichick chose not to fill after McDaniels went to Vegas.

Oh no. Please don’t leave us. Oh no what a shame. Whatever he does, definitely don’t take Golding too…

Colorado has reportedly made Deion a big offer. Report out of Colorado says Deion would be one of the highest paid coaches in the Pac 12. Deion is one of 3 finalists for the job, reportedly.

Following that report, Colorado's AD announced they're loosening their transfer rules and making it easier for transfer to come to Colorado. Deion would likely be bringing his son with him as QB.

Mel Tucker might not be on the hot seat but he's in hot water with info that git into the hands of media

The AD and Tucker get together to discuss how to spread the bonus around. This was part of his new contract and was meant to be shown as extra commitment in the form of $100K annually to the program.

That is not a leader.  Mel Tucker is getting a huge contract and should have shared that with his staff.  I mean we had a coach in CMR who paid his staff bonuses out of his own money because our administration wouldn't do jack for the staff.  That is a leader.

Please hire lane kiffin auburn.  He is a horrible in game decision maker.  Horribly overrated as a head coach.

He shortened the game for his team last night. Calling two timeouts before the two point conversion made it all or nothing. If they could have got a 3 and out they could have at least got the ball back with a minute to go to try to get in FG range

Matt Rhule and Nebraska are deep in negotiations. Nebraska hopes to get Rhule's signature by the end of the weekend. Right now they're just haggling over contract details, Rhule is in no rush if he doesn't get an offer he likes. He also has to work out the details on the $34M he's still owed by Carolina.

It's mind boggling honestly the decision making he does.  Like last year's bama game.. Just puts his team in such bad situations or costs them games.
