Bob Stoops went ahead and shut down any rumors about him. He was making the media rounds for his new job as HC in the XFL. He said he does these leagues cause it's much less of a time commitment than college. Stoops said if he wanted to coach college he would still be at Oklahoma.

Seen a lot of people who want Auburn to hire scandalous Gus, aka Hugh Freeze. What exactly has he done that’s any better than what Gus did? He recruited better at Ole Miss than Gus at Auburn and still managed similar results.

He still managed to lose 1-2 games a year his teams had no business losing. Pretty much he beat Alabama twice and that’s it. The fact that Ole Miss didn’t make the SECCG in 2015 is laughable lol

They're wishing they had Tubbs back. LOL.

USF AD was bombarded with questions about hiring Jon Gruden at his press conference today. He said they wouldn't rule anyone out. Last night there was a report that Gruden has told friends he would love to be HC at USF and views that as his way back to the sideline. I doubt any of this happens.

There was a report that Lanning was pushing for an SEC return at Auburn. He pretty emphatically denied that and said he loves Eugene and talked about his kids bouncing around everywhere and sounded like a man ready to settle down somewhere. I wouldn't leave Oregon for Auburn either.

Charlotte has hired Michigan assistant Biff Poggi. Biff was a high school HC that dominated Maryland. He was then hired by Harbaugh to save his job. He came in and is credited with turning Michigan around. He essentially came in and gave everyone honest assessments of what they were doing wrong. Now Biff will go to Charlotte and Harbaugh will be on his own.

Nebraska has zeroed in on Matt Rhule for the moment. We'll see if they get their top guy. Rhule has reportedly been in Nebraska meeting with school officials and has developed a good relationship. It's just up to him if he wants it and if they can agree to terms.

Wisconsin is moving toward making interim HC Jim Leonhard the permanent HC. Leonhard is 4-2 since taking over the program and is a former All American for Wisconsin. The university officially posted the job after yesterday's win over Nebraska. Wisconsin state law requires the job to be posted for 7 days before someone can be hired. The expectation is that Leonhard will be named HC next weekend.

Terrific move IMO.. Wisconsin has looked so much better with him at the helm and I hope GT hires Brent Key as well.  Brent Key has always been a great coach and he does love GT.

Kentucky and Mark Stoops agreed to a new deal that pays him $8.65M a year beginning next year.

8.65 is alot for a coach who'll never win the division, let alone the conference. But to his credit, he's brought UK from perennial bottom dweller to perrennial mid-tier bowler.

He was getting interest from Nebraska. Kentucky is happy with 7-8 and the occasional 10 wins in football. That SEC money is just helping fund the basketball program.

There's reports that Kiffin is headed to Auburn later this week. We'll see

Kiffin responded on twitter saying “that’s news to me” which is exactly what you’d expect him to say during egg bowl week.

Kiffin would be a slam dunk hire IMO. Seeming more and more likely

Kiffin isn't dumb. He knows the ceiling at Ole Miss has been reached. The opportunity to annoy Saban is just a bonus.

Biggest reason I would think he’d say no would be if he wanted to wait for the Alabama job. But who knows how long that will be

Deion update, he's reportedly talked to Colorado and South Florida. He has not been contacted by Auburn or Georgia Tech.

Barn sounds like it is making a hard push for Kiffin, saw elsewhere probably the only way he doesn't go is if Saban/Bama were to tell him to wait Saban will retire in a year or 2

Yes, even Kiffin has admitted he's Auburns top choice. He's just debating whether he wants to wait on Bama or not.
