Just saw that we’re 71-30 in night games and 22-26 in day games. Sheesh. On one hand, the regression should come towards the mean. On another hand, this makeup of the team just doesn’t know how to play baseball during the daytime and that we have to rely on pitching being elite to win games since our offense is going to be fried. Tough.

As a team during the night they hit .264/.324/.463. During the day they hit .230/.304/.407. The team ERA goes from 3.36 to 3.65 during the day as well

Pitching ERA isn't that big of a difference compared to the offense. That's a huge comparison between .264 to .230. If we can't shake our day woes with a winning streak in day games, then we better hope the day weather gets a little cooler in the playoffs as that may be the only remaining factor in our struggles -- the heat?

It is perplexing to say the least. They are a different team in the day. Luckily there's only 1 true day game left and that's Sunday. Next Sunday is an ESPN game.

Idk if you are on Twitter much but the guy Blooper is trolling has become a meme with some of the rage posts he's made about the Braves running down the Mets.

My interaction with Twitter is limited to what I see on this message board and occasionally on Facebook.

I have no desire to actually have a Twitter account

But that is fantastic

DOB was speculating on the day game struggles. He said all teams give optional BP before the game. However he said Snitker usually operates under pretty much just show up and play and could be hurting. He said nobody has told him that or anything but that's just his observation. That they might need a few hours to just get warmed up instead of just show up, get dressed and get after it. The night games they show up a few hours early, take BP, get loose, normal routines.
