Shoutout to the Cardinals manager for not hitting Pujols there.

Speaking of Pujols, does it seem weird that with him retiring there hasn't been more of acknowledgment of his retirement at the visiting parks? Certainly he is a 1st ballot HOFer and when other guys have announced they were retiring before the season started, ball parks have a ceremony when that player plays for the last time at their park.

So Mikolas posted how he is upset with the Braves batters taking so much time in the batters box and being granted time outs.  What a crybaby! If a batter asks for time out and is granted it, then that is on the umpires.

It was stupid to admit that. Every team is going to do it now that they know it gets in his head.

The Cards manager mentioned this during his in game interview on ESPN. He said he spoke with the ump about forcing the Braves to get in the box and get ready. He said he told the ump the league is concerned about pace of play so they should force the Braves to get ready and let's go.

Doesn't matter. They'll do it whenever they can get away with it to screw with him now. He threw 4 straight balls after Contreras(I think?) was given that late timeout. Don't think that won't be noticed.

I didn't think that they were particularly slow

I think there's been things going on. I know Philly gave him the STL for St. Louis off the scoreboard. I'm sure others have too, but it just isn't getting much run in the media. That's my guess at least. With tonight being his last game at Truist, the Braves may do something.
