Maybe but let's not act like it was a routine play either.

Using O'Day didn't make much sense if he was going to pull him as soon as he was able to.

Not routine but not overly difficult for him either.

We have seen him make much more difficult plays.

LMAO ok man, pretty sure it doesn't matter anyways you'll argue to argue.

Also Chavez hit 92 a few times so still better swing and miss that Darren O'dfa

Was just saying one doesn’t equate throwing 90s to getting outs.

Just like I was just saying Kenley shut that same team down the night before, but “some” like to jump all over someone the instant they have a bad day or string of a couple days (except Duvall of course).

They talk about how the rest of the football team hates the kicker when they miss the game winning field goal. That’s how I feel about closers who blow saves. The rest of the team worked so hard just for you to cough it up. So frustrating.

Jansen has been fantastic all month.

He was fantastic last night, and was fantastic for the first 2 batters tonight and was a strike away.

Lux fouled off some good pitches and was able to put it in play.

And then Thompson gets it off of the end of the bat and was fooled so much that he didn't even know where the ******* ball was. It was just out of the reach of Olson.

But you have chump stains here asking why he is still on the team and berating him.

Like I said....some of you need to change your tampons.

Just because they “talk about it” doesn’t make it any more true.

There are days the pitching allow 1 runs ans they lose 1-0. The pitchers don't hate the bats for blowing it. Teams with bad clubhouses do that. The Braves clubhouse and any other respectable team don't fall into that. I've heard many former players in podcast and interviews say you can't ride the emotional coaster and be a good team. This isn't football, it's not 16 games where you have a week to think about things. This is a 9 month grind from Spring to fall where you play daily. You can't be mad at Jansen because you need him. Tomorrow you might be up 1-0 and need Jansen to come in. You want that guy confident, to feel like he's got this. Can't have him walking in feeling like I'm going to blow it, all these guys are looking at me like I'm an ******* about to blow this game. Nobody wins then. We as fans can ride the coaster cause that's what we do. That's part of it. Players, especially in baseball, have to forget. Yesterday does not matter, today matters.

I was comparing my feeling as a fan to things I've heard players say. I've played team sports and understand the importance of being a good teammate. Doesn't change my feelings as a fan watching this happen.

Man, I still feel salty about last night's game especially that we were a strike away from winning the series. Just some pure bad luck when you consider we have NL's best bullpen in terms of ERA. Even though we've completed a winning record in this homestand against two playoff caliber teams, 5-2 would have been **** of a way to finish the stand. We still gained a game on Mets during the stand, so as long as we keep on racking series wins we should be very close at the top come All-Star Break time.
