For some reason this one hurt me a bit more today.

Hurt a little more because the Padres didn't win it. We simply lost it. There was no reason for us to lose this game. Kyle Wright was absolutely phenomenal and we had enough offense. Defense totally collapsed.

Yes sir. That’s the reason and really game one was ours to win too. This team needs a leader and it honestly very well be the young man Acuna.

There is no leader on this roster.

There wasn't one last year either. Joc even stated they lacked leadership when he got there.

I think Ozzie is trying to be the vocal leader. By all accounts Acuna is not really that type of person. He'll lead by the way he plays but he isn't one to "police" things I guess you could say.

Acuna will run his mouth though. Sometimes that’s all it takes. A good verbal kick in the pants. This team doesn’t need policing. It needs passion.

Agreed.

It would be one thing if the Braves just sucked......they don't.

They just aren't playing to their ability and that is frustrating.

Just like last season. Snitker already mentioned it feels eerily similar and it's been just as frustrating. Last season's Opening Day roster had some holes in it but both teams just couldn't seem to figure it out early on. Hopefully this year they get it going quicker than last year, Mets are on a 100 win pace and haven't even had deGrom a single game yet.

They’re 5-5 in their last 10. And they’re the Mets.. not really worried.

Yeah, there is the aspect of the fact that for a large portion of the year last year, the Mets had a good lead in the standings and played good baseball... untill they didn't.

Still alot of baseball left but the braves do need to play more consistent.

I agree with that.

While they may fall off the pace, they have a much better coaching staff now. Buck knows how to win in the regular season.

Buck may, but do the Mets? wink wink..
