Missed the game. How was he out there today?

Cleanly made the two put-outs hit his way that I saw.

After the game, Snitker talked about Contreras's athleticism, say they could play him at second or third base and he'd be fine.

T-Mobile has announced that MLB.tv will be free to subscribers in a few days. That will be many of our best bet to watch games since Sinclair has blown this so badly.

Was not aware of this, was with Sprint now T-mobile. Hopfully we are eligible too.

In between jobs and not in the budget otherwise.

If they are concerned with the OF depth then they should go ahead and make the trade of a bag of baseballs and 2 gallons of bubble gum for Soler now.

Still amazes me that Miami valued Jackson enough to do that 1 for 1. GM Kim Ng said at the time they really wanted catching depth. I guess they got it.

Duvall wasn't staying, no one else was offering anything, and they did not have a plus defensive catcher anywhere in the upper part of their organization. With a rebuild centered on pitching, even if Jackson doesn't play another inning in the big leagues, he could be worth the trade just so the young pitchers have a good catcher to throw to. Yes, they could sign a good defensive catcher, but then they'd have to pay him real money.

Snitker said Luke Jackson might miss the start of the season. He was sidelined with forearm tightness but recently started throwing again. There's just doubt he'll be ready for Opening Day. Snit said Luke wouldn't be out for long if he does start on the IL.

With the absolute stacking of the pen, there is no reason to rush him.

And MLB is allowing 2 extra roster spots for April due to the short spring. They are allowing both to be pitchers. He has plenty of time to get ready.

Was this kid supposed to be better than his brother defensively too? Now they are trying to turn him into a utility guy?

I think he's long term future is still ar catcher. He played C in the game yesterday. I think they're just exploring if a need arises, can you put his bat in the OF because his bat is better than the other guys with Waters and Harris not ready yet.
