What is Soroka's status for the beginning of the year? Is he doing any workouts?

DOB said the Braves won't be updating him. They don't want to put any pressure or timetable on him. There's some thoughts he's probably out until 2023. It takes 12 months to come back from one ACL. This is two. He said he spoke with the medical expert from "The Athletic" and he guessed 18 months of recovery.

Grant McCulley today said he heard Soroka was shooting for the All-Star break, but again it was more "take it as it comes, don't push it".

DOB had mentioned Olson already knew a few of the guys. He apparently knows Dansby really well. The two had agreed to be roommates at Vandy before Olson signed with Oakland out of high school. He also mentioned Olson has a relationship with McCann if he needs guidance on how to navigate playing at home.

Soroka said he'll begin long toss in a few weeks. He hopes to be ready around the All Star break. Said he has been able to run some.

Hope soroka doesn't do too much. Go slow bro. And hopefully begin in the bullpen. It's like trading for a great bullpen guy after all star game

Well, Contreras certainly doesn't have to worry about Langeliers anymore. He knows the future job is his to lose.

And soon with the robo umps coming, he won't have to try the one knee catching trying to steal strikes and give up all those passed balls
