So... defending World Champions have to play on the backup ESPN, with a #2 crew?

Yeah,  no biased.

It'll be the #1 crew. That's only ESPN game listed. Some other event is on ESPN. If it is the #2 crew you can thank Cincy. They blew up their roster. Only guy left is Votto.

I think he's long term future is still ar catcher. He played C in the game yesterday. I think they're just exploring if a need arises, can you put his bat in the OF because his bat is better than the other guys with Waters and Harris not ready yet.

I also believe they want to avoid what happened with Pache last year. They played him before he was ready, and it caused him to regress. We can't afford for that to happen with Harris.

Braves signed RP Seth Elledge to a minor league deal. Elledge was released just a few hours prior by the Cardinals, Braves pounced quickly. Elledge touches 95 with his sinker and throws a very good slider. His biggest issue has always been that he tends to lose his command at times. He has a good K rate but too high of a walk rate. Braves obviously think he's fixable, good buy low signing for some depth.

Pache "regressed" because he tried to play through hamstring and groin problems. The problem with last year is that their only real back-up when Pache couldn't do the job was Guillermo Heredia.

Harris, on the other hand, isn't ready for the majors.

Ian is struggling today. My best guess is that his issue is release point.

Bowman said Dylan Lee's locker has been moved to the minor league side this morning. Assuming Wright and Ynoa have won the rotation spots, he says that leaves Muller, Davidson and Strider fighting it out for the temporary 6th spot in the rotation or opener role if Snitker decides on that. Snit had named Wright and Ynoa the leaders for the 4/5 rotation spots and it does appear they probably still are the favorites.

Muller had a rough day. Got knocked around a bit. Newk had zero idea where the ball was going. Walked 3 and threw 2 wild ones. However, Olson provided the lone run via a solo shot.

Muller looked better than Newk. The wind was gusting 25+ mph and the Rays were able to put the ball in play enough that it created some shenanigans.

Newk though -- oof. I said nice things about him last week and he repays me by looking like poop on a stick the last two times out.

Bally will have a 1 hour season preview on Tuesday at 7. Theyll broadcast live from the Battery. Braves Live will also still be on the air at 6 on Opening Day to show the ceremony before first pitch on ESPN2. They will again have an hour long Braves Live on April 9 to show the WS ring ceremony.
