Neal may have been better than mMoore, but neither could stay healthy.

I thought Ray Brown was primarily a SS…but could be wrong, not my era (w Esterling at FS). He would get the nod there though.

Brooking should be in the LB pool as well. Chuck Smith in DE pool?

me, from players I seen:

DE - Abraham, Humphrey

DT - Coleman, Jarrett

LB - Nobis, Tuggle, Brooking

CB - Sanders, Buchanan

S - Case, Brown

Looks good. LB is a tough one as no doubt those are the 3 best linebackers in Falcon history but the game has changed so much and those guys would likely get taken apart in coverage. Good luck running on them though.

Scott Case

Case played FS after converting from a Pro Bowl corner with a 10 pick season to make room for Prime.

The best options at strong safety are Ray Brown, Ken Reaves, Brian Jordan, William Moore, Keanu Neal, Lawyer Milloy, Keion Carpenter, Kevin Ross, Gerald McBurrows, William White and Bob Glazebrook.

None were close to Ray Brown who averaged over four picks a year at SS for seven seasons.

I disagree that Neal > Moore.  William Moore had an amazing nose for the football when he was on the field.  Neal was solid for sure when healthy but both were injury prone.  Also Chuck can't really hold a candle to the top DE's.  Had a couple of good years but did not have the staying power of the others.

He started at SS, moved to corner then FS.

At SS Keanu Neal was pretty darn good.... he forced a good number of fumbles with his hitting.  I dunno if Ray Easterling was a FS or SS,  but he needs to be on this list.

DE Chuck Smith was way better than Mike Gann....

DT Travis Hall was Grady Jarrett before Grady...  Hall was better than Mike Lewis.

FS Brain Jordan was -way- better than Pridemore... Priddemore was barely average.

LB Brezina and CB Butler were above average, played a long time, but that's about it.   LB Keith Brooking was way better than Brezina, and LB Joel Williams was a terrific tackler and pass rusher.

CB Brent Grimes was one of the best CB's the Falcons ever had, should replace Butler.

No Travis hall ?He was solid.  Lofton was a solid LB.Brooking was good but never had many impact plays. He was sideline to sideline literally 😂.  Debo had more impact plays in his short time than Brooking career here. Too bad he has fallen off since he earned his contract.

Brooking was actually an excellent weakside LB. He just was asked to play in the middle a lot. I really don’t get the hate he receives from the fanbase. He had a great career here.

Blown assignment against AZ in the playoffs and dirty bird when he played for Dallas.

Nonetheless, he was overall a decent player

Willie Mo has done way more than Keanu Neal.
