Unknøwn
Baylor is working a new deal for Aranda. He has informed Baylor officials that he's committed to the university and will not be leaving.
Unknøwn
There's a buzz because a lot of LSU commits and players have started following Lincoln Riley on Twitter. LSU basketball HC Will Wade also just followed Riley. LSU's newly hired baseball coach also threw a follow Rileys way. Does it mean nothing? Possibly but it's certainly interesting that everyone at LSU is suddenly jumping on Lincoln Riley's social media.
Unknøwn
TCU has hired SMU's Sonny Dykes as its next HC. SMU is hiring Miami OC Rhett Lashlee as its next HC. SacFalcFan
Unknøwn
Dave Clawson is off the board for VT. He's signed a new deal with Wake. It seems like Napier to Florida is just waiting on the Sun Belt title to end next week.
Unknøwn
After the game last night, Riley directly addressed LSU and said he will not be going to Baton Rouge. There's some whispers that Cutcliffe and Duke might be mutually parting ways.
Unknøwn
Adam Schefter reported this morning that Mel Tucker spoke with a few NFL teams before he signed the extension. Some NFL FO's wanted to know if he was interested in jumping back into the league. Tucker spent multiple years as a DC with the Browns, Jags and Bears. He was even interim HC of Jacksonville for a few games.
Unknøwn
Ga Tech has fired most of the football staff. Including the OC and co-DC. Collins will try to put something together to save his job in 2022.
Unknøwn
USC is reportedly gearing up to make a big pitch to Lincoln Riley now that Oklahoma is done till the bowl. A lot of people around the game believe Oklahoma will be an incredibly difficult job in the SEC and that Riley may jump ship at some point before then. Redjack
Pretty excited about Napier for the time being. Will be more interested in the staff he puts together.
tl;dr
Think Napier will be a solid hire, but it feels like a lot of the recent G5 hires have been meh
Carter
If they hire Napier at UF then that’s probably a best case scenario for them at this time. Time will tell of course how he fills out his staff and how the team actually performs, but he’s going to recruit very well in Gainesville and if he doesn’t win to the level expected the next guy should be set up for success at least with the talent level on roster. I’m a little surprised LSU didn’t go after Napier since he is a very good recruiter and already has many in state relationships built up with the high schools. If they hold out for Joe Brady I’m going to laugh
tl;dr
Good hire for Florida IMO. And an even better hire for USC. He's gonna thrive out there.

Unknøwn
Oklahoma in the SEC is not appealing. That's a tough job. Riley was absolutely right to bounce. If he can just keeps the recruits home at USC he'll have an easy path to the playoffs every year.
Killing Floor
Yep, Riley did a good job keeping it quiet. I HATE OU (Sic'em) but he is a very good coach, cannot deny that.
