Says he has dug into the rumors for weeks as they kept coming up, but never found any substance to them. For what that's worth. Monken will return to the NFL someday, but maybe he is happy to wait for the right fit and get a nice new contract in the meantime. I know part of Kirby bringing him on was trusting him enough to let him run the offense, which is a big deal for Monken. Not that he is beyond criticism or anything, but I think Todd Monken may be the best OC we've ever had and I hope we can keep him around longer. Bobo with Aaron Murray was something special, but not without its frustrations also. I'm excited to see what we can do with Brock Vandagriff. But Radi also tried to debunk the Lanning to Oregon rumor in a similar way, so who knows. I wouldn't expect Monken to have opportunities right now. Nobody has hired a new HC yet. Once those coaches get hired then someone could cal Monken but its all just a big what if now. Still too early in the NFL cycle. There's no obvious connections to Monken though. The two staffs he worked for was Dirk Koetter and Freddie Kitchens. Neither of them are getting a job anywhere.

The monken to nfl rumor was started by a guy who is in nick saban's back pocket in feldman.. He has been wrong a lot in the past because some of his reporting seems to be done on purpose to be used in recruiting by some staffs.. I won't say who and I used to like feldman until the past number of years seeing the number of false rumors he has put out there.. sometimes he is legit on stuff so it's hard to know what is and isn't true. fibonaccisquared

Carter
What is Chip Kelly even doing anymore? I feel like he realized he hated recruiting while he was at Oregon, tried to get away from it with the NFL but it didn’t work out, and now he’s back in college football just being thoroughly mediocre and taking money from whoever will pay him lol

Unknøwn
Todd Graham informed Hawaii he was quitting last night. He will not be paid the $2.4M remaining on the deal. Some rumblings out there that Hawaii might try to convince June Jones to come home. It'll he a major rebuild for whoever the hire is. Graham's horrible treatment caused 17 players to head to the portal. Hawaii also doesn't have a stadium. Aloha Stadium shut down due to economic issues and structural concerns. The new stadium isn't slated to open till 2023. The team plays on their practice field that only held a capacity of 2,500 fans. They spent $8M to boost it to 10,000 and accommodate TV cameras. The projected finances for the program was -400K a year as well with such limited capacity. Lot of issues ar Hawaii.
Unknøwn
One college coach is meeting with the Texans. Florida Atlantic WR coach Hines Ward interviewed for the Texans job today. You probably didn't even know Ward was coaching in college but 2021 was his first year at FAU. He did spend 2 years as an offensive assistant for the Jets prior to that. datboilando

Unknøwn
Dolphins owner Stephen Ross has been talking with Harbaugh. Hes been trying to figure out what he'll have to pay to keep Jim at Michigan. However the recent report suggested that Harbaugh feels he still has something to prove in the NFL and that perhaps he feels he's truly better suited to coach in the NFL. I don’t doubt for a second that he wants to jump back to the NFL, but he’s definitely going to be more discerning with the ownership and general manager situation the next time around. He has peaked at Michigan and I understand a Michigan guy not wanting to be the one to pull him away… but I think he’s a very good head coach and the Dolphins would be dumb to let him go if he’s interested. Harbaugh has reportedly been actively calling around to see who would fill out his staff in the NFL, it’s probably gonna happen.

That Harbaugh feels accomplished at Michigan and realizes it probably doesn't get any better. The reports say that he is being picky and will only take a job where he's comfortable with the owner and GM. We heard spots like the Bears, Giants and Raiders had some appeal because he can probably have some input on the GM. Although we don't know what LV is going to do. They might keep Mayock and Bisaccia.

Unknøwn
Miami is targeting a G5 HC for its OC role. Toledo HC Jason Candle is the guy they want. Candle rose the ranks very quickly and very successfully going from the famous Mount Union to Toledo and is still just 42. However, he's 45-27 as a HC at Toledo and is reportedly still happy there. He might just hang on there until a HC opportunity comes along.
