World Series Champs Off-season 2021-2022

For the A

There's a report out there that Anthopoulos is aggressively working the phones trying to improve the roster. He normally makes his splash moves in November but I would imagine with the lockout looming he's hoping to get a few things done. At this point no one knows how long the lockout will last.

So we going to have both Shea and Contreras in AAA?

I could see Contreras being traded. Mark Bowman mentioned there's some concern about Contreras defensively after his showing this year. He's not as close to ready as they had hoped. Hence the d'Arnaud extension in August. If you don't move Contreras this year he gives you good depth and you have a cushion between Langeliers and emergency duty in Atlanta.

If anything, they proved last year you need three catchers even you are only planning on rostering two. The is the best scenario for Contreras -- sharing time with Langeliers, building a good rapport/friendly rivalry, working on weaknesses away from the pressures of the major league season. He'll be the first guy up if they need someone to fill in, and there's no pressure to promote Langeliers too soon.

And with d'Arnaud's injury history, having a defense-first catcher that can hit some to back up is a no-brainer. It's like having a younger Tyler Flowers.

Saw a Top 50 FA list and Eddie Rosario isn't listed.

Are we as fans over valuing the guy because of what he did for us in the NLCS?

They says he's at 41. Projecting 2 year 15 mil. Soler at 3 year/36 mill. If Freddie signs for a bit less then we can sign those two

If DH is certain, we package Contreras/one of the SP prospects + Ozuna to offload his money, and make Soler's 3rd year a team option... **** yeh.

AKA Dan Struggla.

I think the only thing I missed worse during my time here was the Hector Olivera trade. That dude earned $62 million, a lot of it from Atlanta, for 108 career appearances. He was arguably the best player in Cuba at 22. Then, he came to America and turned full-fledged entitled, lazy, woman-beating jacka$$.
