Probably multiple prospects. Hes under control for 2 years. We'll get a better feel soon as multiple teams are already talking to Beane. I wouldn't be surprised if it's an MLB ready player, a near ready and a lower level prospect. I think he'll go for the quantity over the one big name and some fringe guys.

Man, the DH can’t get here fast enough. I bet he’d love to come home and play for the Braves.

Verlander and Morton were the two horses for the 2017 Astros. He would definitely be willing if we were interested, which I don't know if we are but AA has a history of bringing in old veterans ro round out the rotation. I'm not sure how he feels about a 1 year deal though.  Verlander did get the QO so he cost you a draft pick as well as money.

Wouldn't be the first time we've done that for a FA.

Would not be the worst idea possible.

You gotta think that he would be interested in jumping on the hype train.

I have a feeling AA does one of those short deals for a guy like Verlander. We had serious production from the OF but our pitching is what did it for us.

A guy like Verlander or Scherzer paired with Charlie would do so much for our young pitchers.

Scherzer isn't coming. He made it clear he wants to pitch out west for whatever reason.

Fried, Morton. Anderson. Verlander and Wright would be a **** of a start. If Wright really has figured it out that 1 through 5 is the best in the league. Then you add Soroka in somewhere, good gracious.

I can see Soroka starting off in the pen and possibly staying there this coming season if Wright has finally figured it out. Then you could do a Wright / Soroka game to rest the bullpen. Also that would leave him stretched out if a starter were to become injured.
