I really like the Wright move. Honestly, I'd prefer to send Wright out over Ynoa if we need to.

I just realized Ynoa is out of the season. Well, my point still stands if Ynoa was still healthy. Plus Wright had playoff experience. One stellar and another big yikes. But he still has experience. I like it.

To me this is his chance to show that he has a place on the roster moving forward.

If we get the guy who pitched very well down the stretch in 20 then the he could make the case.

If it is the guy who went into a shell when he got battered by the dodgers then he is making the case to be shipped off.

How does Houston hit right handed pitchers? And are they good breaking ball hitter

They hit a lot of things but they hit .290 against fastballs. They hit .270 against LHP, .266 against RH

There was an article that mentioned that Houston as a lineup struggles against curveballs. We've got two going in the first two games. It was an ESPN article. I'll find and post.

That makes sense why Wright is up then since he is very (almost to a fault) breaking ball heavy

So small correction, the article doesn't necessarily say the Astros struggle, but they swing and the curveball outside the zone more than any other pitch.

2021 World Series bold predictions: Unlikely MVP for the Braves, record for the Astros and more - CBSSports.com

"One thing to note: Houston chased curveballs out of the zone more than any other pitch type this season, and Smyly's specialty is getting hitters to chase his curveball out of the zone. He's not going to blow anyone away with his fastball at this point in his career, but he will get you to offer at the curve. That's a reasonably effective way to attack the Astros (just don't hang it)."

Pretty good article if you have a few extra minutes.

That's going to be interesting because of who the Braves have on staff

One thing about this series is that Braves have experience playing in Minute Maid Park last year in the NLDS. We need Soler and Duvall to come alive with their at-bats and the routine flyouts to the left will translate into homers. I'm really looking forward to this series. Let's get the job done!
