Atlanta Braves general manager Alex Anthopoulos did not attend the team's World Series-clinching Game 6 victory in Houston on Tuesday night after testing positive for COVID-19, he told ESPN's Buster Olney.

Anthopoulos, who tested positive on Saturday, told Olney he did not reveal the news until after Tuesday's win because he didn't want to be a distraction.

"I wanted to keep it quiet to not take any chance that I would be a distraction before the end of the series," Anthopoulos told Olney via text. "I'm totally fine. I watched with the whole family at home. Very happy."

Oh wow.

That’s the thing, when Atlanta teams do something like this it’s normally caused by some goofy extenuating circumstance.   No one talks about the two Patriot turnovers inside our 25 that led to 28-3.   They moved the ball all night until our luck ran out and the dam finally broke.   Could have easily been 21-17 in the 3rd

Still should have won but the way they got to that point was weird

Hmmmm…. Looks like Snit was right along now. 🤣

Buster Olney said he was around all the interactions between Freeman and McGuirk/FO people. He said from what he witnessed he fully believes there's zero chance the Braves let Freemam walk. He has zero desire to leave and the FO is ready to pay. Freddie considers the Braves his forever home.

Atlanta definitely got some calls. Fried to Bregman comes to mind for sure. Umps were questionable all series long. Neither team can really use that as an excuse.

i dont know about that, for atleast 4 of those games braves got HOSED big time.. we didnt get crap but astros got all the calls.
