Today couldn't have gone any better - a Saints loss tomorrow and the Falcons will be tied for the final playoff spot (with the Saints holding the tie-breaker)

There are now 3 wild card teams. Not sure how we rank towards Minnesota, but before Saints play tomorrow and assuming Chicago is crushed by Tampa Bay, then Minnesota and the Falcons are the 3-3 teams in the NFC.

Really wish we had won the WFT game.

That still probably wouldn't be enough, because our schedule will get a lot harder...but we really need to win the games in hand against bad teams.  Need to stack up the wins against bad teams so the losses to better teams don't put you out of reach.

I'm hoping we get better enough with the systems in the last half or third of the year...we'll have to be a lot better to beat the Rams/Cowboys/Bucs etc type teams.

But it'd be fun to be in the mix longer into the season.

I don't see the schedule being that hard. 4 games against the Panthers and Saints (not easy but 4 winnable games). Then we got the Jags, Pats, Lions, and 9ers. winnable games. We gave the Bucs a run for their money in Tampa and the Bills/Cowboys will be hard. So really only 3 really hard games left on the schedule. with 8 very winnable games.

For a good team that's not a very hard schedule.

We just had a much easier schedule and came out 3-3.

I'm just saying we'll have to be better than we've been to break even over the next 11 games.  And if we're good enough to break even, we'll really miss having won that Washington game.

Basically, we need to get a lot better, which may be doable since we're so new in the systems.

We were also installing a new offense and defense. I think the Falcons are somewhere between a 7 - 11 win team this year. We can make the playoffs.

We shouldn’t sleep on the Panthers, Sam Darnold can ball, and they have weapons. It will be a tougher game then Miami that’s for **** sure.

"WE" have nothing to worry about. The Falcons haven't earned the right to sleep on anyone so I doubt they are. But this **** gets said every week lol. We could be playing Bama or UGA and this line would still be said.

Crowded with mediocrity lol, but crowded nonetheless. Seahawks and 49ers have been exposed.

We weren’t far off from where we are now at this point in 2016. If we win next week we’ll have the same record we had that year. Actually we’re kinda similar. Offense was doing good things and the defense was still finding it’s way until around week 8 or 9.

A win next week along with some losses from other NFC teams could put the Falcons at the 6 seed, which is crazy.

Yea. And remember 2016 we were actually the 5th seed going into the playoffs and with a loss from Seattle moved to the 2nd seed. Then Dallas losing gave us home field throughout. We had help that year. Lotta folks think we just killed it. We really didn’t. We caught fire at the right time and had some help.

Falcons are sitting on the easiest strength of schedule to date. Only played one team with a winning record and the aggregate record of our opponents has been 14-27 if my math is right and that's with TB being 6-1. Take away their record and our competition to date falls to 8-26

Falcons are absolutely a better team than at the beginning of the season at least
