Ball is laced to RF and hits the wall, bounced back and hit the RF in the foot which sends it over the wall. By rule its an auto double. Meaning the runner from 1B, who was rounding 3B when the ball hit the wall, wasn't allowed to score. Rays had to stay at a 4-4 tie and lost a few minutes later. So by rule, the OF should always just boot the ball over the wall to save a run when the balls in the gap. dmite

Runners get current base plus 1 at the time the ball goes out of play.
For the A
With today’s rain out in Chicago. It allows the Astros to start McCullers for game 4 instead of Urquidy
Unknøwn
Kevin Cash can't get out of his own way in the playoffs. Pulling Snell early and now he puts in McClanahan in the 3rd inning on 3 days rest. He hasn't pitched on short rest all season, has never pitched out of the pen and this is his first playoff series. Rays now down 5-0 in a do or die game.
falconsd56
If the Braves win and the Dodgers win. Do the braves get HFA due to being a division winner?
For the A
Yes the Braves would have HFA since they are the higher seed from winning their division Edited October 12, 2021 by ToxicBraves falconsd56

jidady
Here's the list of teams with better records than the Giants and the Dodgers since 1955: 2001 Seattle Mariners 1998 New York Yankees If we take back to 1928, the 1954 Cleveland Indians and 1931 Philadelphia Athletics (!) join the list. A historically great team is going home after game 5.

Unknøwn
Dave Roberts throw a Kershaw curve. Knebrl will now start instead of Urias. Urias will be in the bullpen. If LA gets a lead then they'll let Urias cover

Unknøwn
Houston doesn't have a strong rotation. They lost McCullers to injury, Greinke is not the guy he was, he's a #5 now. Their young guys are really struggling to put out the fire.
