For the A

Yep. Orioles have some kind of voodoo on the Braves. Since 2009 the Braves are only 6-10 against the Orioles including only 1-2 against them in both 2018 and 2020. The Braves all time are 22-23 against the Orioles. Makes no sense whatsoever but that's in keeping with the Braves overall struggles against the AL over the years.

Don’t we tend to struggle with the AL East in general?

Yikes.  I wonder why that is?  Reminds me of the Falcons struggling with AFC teams.

Because contrary to Chip Caray's long-standing belief the AL has a major advantage over the NL because of the DH. Chip is so adamant that the AL is at a disadvantage in interleague games cause they have to lose their DH in games in NL parks but what he never mentions is that when the NL plays at AL parks and the AL has a 35 homerun guy as their DH most NL teams have some slap hitting 2nd baseman as their DH. That's a major advantage for the AL. I remember the 1999 World Series and the Braves were using Keith Lockhart as their DH cause they didn't have any better options. It was pathetic.

I’m still on the fence about Snit leading this team to a title

As am I. But that being said, the way he has managed during this winning streak has been nearly perfect. As close to perfect as you can realistically expect from a flawed human who can't predict the future. So because of that I've cut down on the Snit slander.

Can you do better than Snitker? Absolutely. Can you do worse than Snitker? Absolutely. He is what he is but I think you can win a WS with him. I will always say I admire his ability to try and learn new things. I'm not the biggest Snitker supporter but I appreciate what he has done and I respect that the players adore the guy. I think we should also give him his fair share of credit for helping keep the ship steady during that terrible stretch of play and injury.

Right now I don't think you can do better than Snitker. Like I said, he's been nearly perfect during this 13 game streak.

Oh yeah no doubt he has done a very good job during this streak. When the times get tough that’s what I look for in a coach. Quinn was looking like a genius in 2016 but when times got hard he started to falter. But Snit is very likable person ala Tony Dungy. And Dungy got it done in Indy with Peyton. But for whatever reason he couldn’t get the Bucs over that hump. I view Snit in the same category right now. But who knows he very well could get ATL over the hump. We shall see

The radio guys also mentioned that it's been a while since the Braves wore the navy jerseys and they're right. The last time the Braves wore the navy jerseys was July 26th. Tonight is their 11th straight road game wearing gray. They're 9-2 in those 11 games.

Braves wearing gray again tonight. LOL!
